Oops, I meant to say that she’s pretending because she’s forced. I just kinda wondered how the series would be if she had a disability. I think it would escalate the storyline even more.
I almost skipped on this and glad I did not! Although it has some very cliché moments and characters, it is very intriguing to watch. Just glad they finally revealed the truth at the end of this week’s episode.
The one thing I find ridiculous is how the FL did not give herself away immediately with her naive calls and questions.
Also, I don’t know how I feel about the FL pretending to be mute and is not actually mute.
i think it's deliberate. sanha's father is more distant in this version, or less expressive. it adds a new dimension…
True but I think from that standpoint, it took away what was so special from the original version. The romance was never the focus, it was the family dynamic between all the characters.
Agree but I think they don't have much eps to focus on everything I think they are trying their best to balance…
I was worried about that with this adaptation. We’re missing so much depth from this shortened version. They don’t seem like family to me here, just close neighbors.
They did not give San Ha’s appa any personality. The original C version developed both fathers and their relationships so we cared more for the adults and kids.
The original Chinese version was longer and had more time to build the story from their childhood. This one is more condensed due to the shorter episodes.
The one thing this version is lacking so far is the actual family bonding between the kids, the kids with the dads and the dads themselves. In the original, they had time to show home life and school life so you got to see them interact more in the neighborhood, and with both their dads.
Also, in this one, they call the other dad “ahjussi” and which makes them seem more distant. In the original, they call both dads their dads which made their bonds seem a lot closer.
I’m still looking forward to this one and I’m hoping the romance comes in later because I think Go Ahead stood out due to the fact that their family bond was so well developed and established.
