I read long ago the creator didn’t have plans on making a season 2 since it took a toll on his mental and physical health to complete the first season but maybe I read wrong. Maybe he did it due to its popularity. Nonetheless, it felt more like a fan service than what we wanted.
I think it would have been better to have the cop brother play the games than GH. They should have GH on the outside working to fight his way in and the cop on the inside trying to fuck shit up. Instead, they put GH back in the games, repeated a lot of shit, added unnecessary characters (Thanos) and no one succeeded in their missions. GH came into it with absolutely no plans except to survive (again) and by luck, he got us far as he did. Even the deaths seemed so careless. The shock factor of season 1 was lost here.
