4 episodes in and I see ZERO chemistry between the leads

I’m all in for Elvis/Jun Hai and Joe/ Jia Hui. Their chemistry is FIRE. I love their flirty banters and the sexiness between them.

It’s also so much fun to see all the old school TVB veterans!!

I think the ex mind fuckery worked on him. She manipulated him into thinking this was the only way to save their marriage. ML was desperate and vulnerable. He didn’t have a choice. She arranged everything in his life for him.

Can they chill with the slow motion walks/entrances? Homeboy is just going from point A to B and it’s taking twice as long.

Oops, I meant to say that she’s pretending because she’s forced. I just kinda wondered how the series would be if she had a disability. I think it would escalate the storyline even more.

I almost skipped on this and glad I did not! Although it has some very cliché moments and characters, it is very intriguing to watch. Just glad they finally revealed the truth at the end of this week’s episode.

The one thing I find ridiculous is how the FL did not give herself away immediately with her naive calls and questions.

Also, I don’t know how I feel about the FL pretending to be mute and is not actually mute.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. They want to distinguish that early on in order to better transition into the romance.

True but I think from that standpoint, it took away what was so special from the original version. The romance was never the focus, it was the family dynamic between all the characters.

I was worried about that with this adaptation. We’re missing so much depth from this shortened version. They don’t seem like family to me here, just close neighbors.

I also enjoyed the second couple but they hardly developed them since the leads got so much time dedicated to them doing nothing.
