I hate how directors always cast problematic actors in bl dramas, i will only watch this as in i will either hate…
I agree that it was bad of Cimon to laugh at the rape jokes (What’s so funny about those kind of jokes I’ll never understand ) but I don’t see Why you hate Perth , I can’t recall him doing anything bad. Unless I missed something ….
Curious about the secondary couple, both really good looking especially the blonde dude. But i THINK I will love the main couple more, because their love story sounds amazing and interesting!!
Ugh based on the comments, Taehyun is too much of a jerk… so Idk if I can watch this , I might just get so angry. I don’t mind assholish main characters, but if they are TOO much of an asshole, I simply feel disgusted! Hmmm… I think I’ll just watch Unintentional Love Story instead which will air soon. 😅 does Taehyun ever feel remorse/guilty for what he done to Da Yeol in the manhwa?
Because here it says Episode 1 of 30 airing on March 12, 2023 5:00 PM
I guess 5:00 PM is my country time, my country is 7 hours behind China! So if its true it means the episodes will air 00:00 china time ?? How come sooo late? Perhaps it means this will then be a really mature drama with some steamy scenes ? Hmmm…
If this drama is good I hope it Will do good in ratings/viewership… I’m not expecting it to become as huge of a hit as Love Destiny because that would be very difficult, since Love Destiny is like one of the most successful lakorns of all time, reaching that kind of level of popularity for any lakorn no matter how good it is is difficult.
But I do hope this lakorn will nevertheless be a hit.. :)
I think this drama will be really good, because Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People was a really good one, it was not your typical romantic youth sageuk you only usually see nowdays. It had a strong plot that went beyond than just the romance (romance was not even the main genre), its truly a historical drama , not one of those silly romcom ones that feels modernized despite taking place during Joseon. The Rebel can be compared to Empress Ki, etc as it feel like more one of the classic kinds like you saw in 2000s (Jewel in the Palace, Jumong, etc…) While Lovers main genre will be romance I think it won’t be the typical romantic sageuk, as it will have much more depth into it… The Rebel had so much depth! And this drama as I wrote before will air in MBC channel (that is concidered the best channel usually for ’proper’ sageuks) thats also where The Red Sleeve aired, a good exemple of proper sageuk despite romance being the main genre, not your typical romantic sageuk that you seen of the last 10 years or so… I understood why it became such a huge success, romance yes but still complex and deep. I think there is big chance for Lovers to turn out just as complex/deep as The Red Sleeve , and the love story to hopefully be better in Lovers than in The Red Sleeve (love story felt a bit one-sided for me in Red Sleeve… ML seemed much more in love than the FL.. did not dislike them as couple tho )
That being said, I have to add that I love romance sooo much its actually my favorite genre, and there are some romantic sageuks that I enjoyed despite not being classy/traditional kind, instead feels pretty modern despite the historical setting (I really enjoyed for exemple ”The Tale of Nokdu”) … its just nice to once in a while to get a historical drama that feels not too modernized or dumb.
Now I know Lovers is fictional, made up… but I still hope they will make it feel mature and not treat the viewers of this upcoming drama as some fools meaning I hope this drama won’t be dumb/silly…
Maybe not out of the world chemistry between the leads, but still loved them together… their love for each other was so deep, pure, true, beautiful, selfless despite the lack of skinship. But I think their love was way more deeper that went beyond the physical kind. Lee Min Ho’s best role ( yes even better than his newer works such as King: The Eternal Monarch and Pachinko, for me) ! i just loved his character here, for once not some chaebol/ prince / king whatever .. LMH was so Young here hehe, but so noble, sacrificial…not some arrogant shit. If you are debating to watch this or not, then I say WATCH!!!
Written by Mad For Each screenwriter who knows how to add depth into romcom and not just another shallow silly…
Wow ” screenwriter who knows how to add depth into romcom and not just another shallow silly meaningless romcom. And FL written with more depth than usual too” , you made me now even more excited about this drama :) hope the writer will add as much depth to the character as Mad For Each Other , which i haven’t btw watched .. but now you made me interested in Mad for Each other :) I don’t really like shallow one one dimensional characters even in romcoms…
Yoo In Na is one of the most adorable k-actresses out there, can’t believe she is 40!! Loved her since Queen In Hyun’s man (one of the most romantic dramas out there and her first leading role I believe … Why isnt she btw getting more leading roles!?) hope just there Will be No SLS in this as it seems to have a love triangle. The ML looking down on her first as described, I hope he is not too much of an jerk to her. I hope the chemistry between the leads Will be as sizzling as in QIHM (but that will be hard to be, because the leads were real life couple after the drama finished , so there was real life feelings between them while filming , which usually means chemistry then Will be even better!) Anyways how come I didnt find out about this drama until today ??
Heard Namkoong Min is a great actor and he is great in any genre, that he done basically every genre except romance! So this will be his first romance drama? ? Well best luck to him then, hope he is good at acting someone deeply in love :)
I’m maybe shallow, but the steamy scenes convinced me to watch this! Usually with dramas they never show when they’re about to Do the ”deed”, at most they usually show only the couple kissing and then moving towards bed room ,and then they don’t show more, instead We are shown the morning after when the FL wakes up in usually wearing ML’s t-shirt or smth, just implying they slept with each other..
But in here, they dare to go further , which I like! There is even heavy breathing omg so refreshing !! Its so made clear they slept with each other. I think they dared to be more progressive here Because its a Netflix show… anyways, the steamiest scene I ever seen in Kdrama along with ”Cruel City” and ”What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”!
Love the no-nonsense FL who takes No bullshit and how she went to the funeral in sexy ”inappropriate” clothes and caused a scene! It was so cool, honestly if I was put on the same situation as her I would Do the same maybe … all yes to FLs like her , who instead being all bubbly , happy-go-lucky despite all the injustices, decides to instead be bitchy and a FIGHTER!! I’m glad it rained that day … just sad about how she found out the house was sold… she is Anyways so relatable and realistic.
Not sure yet about the ML, who is the opposite of FL, he seems meek but looking forward to see more depth to him.
Like the rest, hating the mistress (even if later legally married) because there is no humanity AT ALL in her, she couldn’t care any less about misery What she caused to others, she’s awful

Pretty good ratings for first ep :)
