Agreed. I think Allison (Jaime) is just a bad actor. His whole range seems to be "I'm sexy and hot, with a mysterious…
Sorry to burst your bubble, I'm not that invested in the series. This is a discussion board, not a fan page. We can discuss our like or dislike of a series. No need for you to get all butthurt.
It is perfectly okay for someone to not like a series and comment about it. This is a discussion board and not a fan page. No one needs to be lectured or scolded. Gay male here.
I don't want to bore all of you in these comments with a long essay about what I liked and didn't like about this series. But, for anyone who might be interested, I have posted a review. (A heads up: I was pretty harsh.) :)
I'm not a Ton fan, but am I the only one who finds it incredibly problematic that so many people here are okay…
Maybe. I'm a guy and I honestly wouldn't care if someone half naked pictures of me. (Some HAVE taken half naked pictures of me, lol.) But I can understand that it would bother some people.
Jaime's a flirt, that much we know about this series, lol! Episode 3: Reasons to Love was generally ok. The plot/storyline…
Hey! I always enjoy your posts, but I'm going to disagree with this one, as I thought it was pretty much... horrible. While I'm okay with Francisco (Win), Allison (Jaime) is not selling me on his portrayal of his character... whatever he's supposed to be, Gio was just another embarrassing perverted troll, Heart is here nor there, and the story has become "who cares," at least for me. I'll watch to the end, as I rarely drop a series once I've started... but I don't have high hopes.
Ep 3 was unpleasant to watch. Once again, we drag out the ugly stereotype of an old effeminate gay man being a…
Agreed. I think Allison (Jaime) is just a bad actor. His whole range seems to be "I'm sexy and hot, with a mysterious air." But it just comes across as poor acting.
The My Day actor was horrible and embarrassing.
I have no idea what this series is supposed to be about, except I fully expect the two male leads to be together at the end. Yawn.
Just chiming in to say that I'm glad MDL has altered the first sentence of the synopsis here. It now says "Chonlatee, a shy kind hearted boy... " Much better than what it said before: "Chonlatee, a shiny boy with a love heart... "
Really, I'm not making fun of translations, and I do appreciate anyone who writes in English, when it is not their first language. But I kept wondering, what's a "shiny" boy?
Does anyone else feel like the sex scenes between Max/Tul are just obligatory? I mean, sure, I've been a fan of theirs all through the TWM series and they have a hot chemistry, no doubt.
But here -- at least to me -- it seems misplaced and unnecessary, When I watched Ep. 7, I just felt like "okay, they had to put in a Knock/Korn sex scene, because that's what everyone expects."
I honestly feel like this series would be better without it.
Though I do understand your point, I think the difference lies with whether Fonzy can agree for himself to be…
Another question (sorry!)... I know that there will be some straight people and gay people that are fine with dating bisexuals... but, to avoid possible biphobia, do bisexuals feel "safer" dating each other? (I guess there's no stock answer to that question.)
Though I do understand your point, I think the difference lies with whether Fonzy can agree for himself to be…
Thanks again for your insightful comments. Agreed.
Gay male here. I totally agree that polyphobia would be hatred against polyamorous people. Honestly, I would like to become more clear as to what biphobia means. For me, it is hatred against bisexuals, just as homophobia is hatred against gays.
Many have called Karleen biphobic but, to me, I don't think that term quite applies, because Karleen doesn't hate bisexuals. Karleen is a lesbian and has said she doesn't want to date bisexual women. (I am not a fan of the Karleen character for other reasons.)
Homophobia, biphobia, polyphobia, etc. are terms of hate. I feel that a different term -- if we even need to categorize it -- should be used for people with Karleen's outlook.
Just my two cents. Any other opinions are welcome.
I find it interesting that they are bringing the topic of polyamory into the series.
There has been a lot of discussion about biphobia, and what it means (or doesn't mean). Karleen was called biphobic for being a lesbian who didn't want to date bisexual women. So, let's say Fonzy doesn't want to date polyamorous guys. Would that make him polyphobic?
Does polyphobia exist? And if so, what does it mean?
The best thing about the series was Fonzy and Achilles at the end.
I will write more in my review, later on.

Thanks MDL, for making it more clear. :)
