Can we talk for a moment about MAME's obsession with painful gay sex? (And other women writers as well.)

As a gay guy, this rarely happens unless someone is brutally raped. The top doesn't just get on and start banging away... he is almost always very sensitive to pleasing the bottom, taking time, starting slowly, etc. And most guys use lubricant. Once the initial penetration has happened, there is pleasure, not pain (at least in most cases)... especially because men have a prostate, which makes all the difference.

I think MAME, with her "men-being-raped" fantasies, just likes the idea of brutal anal sex.

She might want to see a therapist about that...

7 eps in and I still don't like Judah. I don't know what it is and it's bothering me
Maybe because he's whiny and needy? Lol.

We are on the same page. And I'm so disappointed, because Tin/Can had so much potential. They're still my favorite part of this season and I'll finish it because of them. But Mame is just a weird, crappy writer. (And, for the record, I felt the same way for a lot of Season 1.)

I get that Ken is lovestruck with Shake at the moment. But...

He was so excited about being selected to write this play, he put everything into this monologue he created for Sandee... and then he has ZERO interest in attending any rehearsals or working together on it with her? I mean, none? I would be pissed as hell if I were Sandee.

It's obvious Sandee is in love with Ken. And Ken acts like he's oblivious to it, but I'm pretty sure he knows. People just know. I'm thinking that Ken hopes Sandee will figure out he's into Shake and not her, and that will be the end of it. But that's never a great strategy. (I know from experience, lol!)

I usually watch on official websites. But with this series, I don't care anymore. I'll watch what's most convenient. I'm only watching for Tin/Can, the script is horrible and it's not like many of us care about a third season.

It is. It is grilled usually the marinated along with filipino bbq seasoning and it's really good when dipped…
Thanks for the information!

Okay, I'll go there...

Is Isaw (chicken intestine) considered a real delicacy in the Philippines? Has anyone here had it before? Is it delicious?

(Sorry, but the idea of eating chicken intestines is not appealing to me. But I'd be willing to try it!)

At least ep4 was longer than ep3. That was over in like a blink of an eye. I saw Shake and Ken holding hands,…
I'm guessing it's because Ken has never dated or shown interest in anyone before. Sandee is closer to Ken than anyone, has been "in love" with him from afar, and this is the first time she's had any "competition" (at least in her mind).

Right? I feel like the page should activate that option until at least half of the series is released :/
Good idea! Personally, I don't rate a series until after I've seen the whole thing. (I've been surprised too many times by the last few episodes... for better or for worse.)

I loved the crazy, silly moments! Best part of this special, for me.

But, in my opinion, as much as I enjoy Yoon and Lay (they've got great chemistry), three episodes lasting nearly an hour with JUST them and no one else (most of the time) just didn't really work. I found myself getting bored.

6.5 for me.

I'm wondering why the scriptwriters of these BLs are usually so hellbent on following the novels to the letter.…
We are so on the same page. The problem I have with LBC1 and LBC2 is that both of them could have been so good, with some real thought and care from the scriptwriters. Ae/Pete made for a good story (although Pete was too wish-washy/timid for my taste) and Tin/Can makes for a good story as well.

I honestly don't care much for Tum/Tar (another rape victim... plus, they've had almost no screen time in either series), and the Kla/No coupling is just creepy and disturbing... which would be okay if this were a serious drama, treating rape as the traumatic thing that it really is. But no, it's romanticized and shoved under the rug. (With No just stringing Kla on with "I haven't forgiven you yet," along with "OMG, Kla is so hot and my heart is beating so fast!" "It felt so good when Kla was [raping] me!" Seriously??)

Oh well... I'm still enjoying Tin/Can in LBC2, and hoping for some sort of satisfying conclusion.

Well, well, well! I'm not really going to comment on this ep. 8. Because, although I don't really like this storyline,…
I'm wondering why the scriptwriters of these BLs are usually so hellbent on following the novels to the letter. Almost all Western series/movies, based on novels, are just that... BASED on novels. Scriptwriters usually take A LOT of artistic license, for the sake of the onscreen storyline and script.

Do you think the author (in this case, MAME) has some kind of contract with the company, to where her script can't changed? (Because some of her story desperately needed changing... *cough/KlaNo/cough*)

On the other hand, LBC1 drifted far away from the novel, with some characters showing up and disappearing with zero explanation: Trump (what the hell ever happened to him?), Chompoo, Pete's "girlfriend" that had dinner with them... possibly a few others as well.

(And yes, I knew about all the problems with P'New and the Perth/Saint managers. Behind the scenes drama doesn't excuse anything... the bottom line is the end result, and LBC1 fell with a huge thud at the end, where the viewers were left shaking their heads, along with P'New vowing that he would NOT direct a Season 2.)

Actually, for Can It's natural he never had a girlfriend before but for Tin is weird He was A Pro at season 1…
Somehow, I feel like the kissing goes along with their characters and has nothing to do with whether or not the actors "like" kissing another guy. (And could also have everything to do with what the director wants.)

For me, Tin always looks okay kissing (except for the final scene in Ep. 8, where Can caught Tin totally off guard in public). Can has always been stiff with kissing, and it makes sense... he's probably never kissed anyone before and he wasn't even sure about his feelings for Tin until now.

I thought it was great that Can initiated the kiss in that last scene... Tin looked shellshocked. Moving forward, if there are more kissing scenes between Tin/Can -- given their recent development -- I would expect more natural kisses.

If not... well, then I would agree with everyone about the awkwardness.
