It's such a cute series. Does anyone have any doubts that we'll get a happy, feel good ending? It would just be bad writing, if we didn't. (I have no problem with sad endings, but they are usually reserved for dramas, not lighthearted productions like this one, which has such a happy ending build up. ) Of course, we've been disappointed before! (Tin/Can in LBC, anyone?)
I also felt that Tony's acting was a weak link today, and to me it seems he has gotten more shaky as the series…
Agreed. I thought Tony was at his best being "cute," especially during his song scene with JC. As for his "emotional" acting, it does feel a bit forced, compared to the naturalness of JC's portrayal of pain and sadness. Still, I do like them as a couple and I'm enjoying the series.
I may be the only one, but I do not think that Cairo nor Gav want to meet 'cause of sex. Gav often makes sexual…
It never once occurred to me that they would want to meet for sex, not in the middle of this pandemic. Cairo wanted to meet Gav in person to tell him the bad news of his moving away. Of course, that all changed in this last episode and their meeting was very sweet.
I'm dreading the meet up mainly because he will have to tell Gav about leaving. Also, Cairo isn't a touchy feely…
I agree! But I have to say that I haven't been disappointed in any of the episodes -- even the sad ones -- so I have faith that the writers will come up with something great. And now that we have four (?) more episodes, we can keep our fingers crossed!
I'm kind of surprised how excited everyone seems to be about Cairo's asking to meet Gav in person. I mean, we all know why Cairo wants this, and it's not for a good reason. Am I the only one that's kind of dreading it??
All reviews (and studies) whether artistic or scientific are based on comparisons. That's even the logic why there's…
I was ready to consider your side until you started insulting posters condescendingly. Now you just seem like you're having a hissy fit over nothing. Bye, Felicia.
I love the characters, as well as the depth of development. I even found myself not hating Terrence this episode. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "There isn't a person you wouldn't love if you could read their whole story."
I thought Cai's father would pull through but he didn't. My prediction for the last 3 episodes:
Ep. 8: Cai is grieving for his father, and staying away from Gav and everyone else. At the end of Ep. 8, Gav has troubles coughing. fever, goes to the hospital.
Ep. 9: Gav tests positive for COVID, Pearl gets a hold of Cai to let him know. Cai is devastated because he can't be in touch with Gav.
Ep. 10: Gav pulls through, Cai and Gav reunite. (I'm guessing still not in person.)
Just my prediction... I haven't been right so far, lol!
When Gameboys first started, did any of us think that it would turn into the best and most intense drama of the year? I figured it would just be a lighthearted diversion during quarantine... boy, was I wrong! Fantastic.
Truth be told, I started out liking this series but now find it pretty boring. I'll watch until the end, because it's so short, but this is pretty much a fail for me. Sorry.
At first, I wasn't all that wild about Cai. Sure, Gav came on really strong, but Cai has been kind of nasty to him. Honestly, I wasn't even sure what Gav even saw in Cai, other than that he's kind of cute. But I've changed my opinion.
As much as Gav comes off as kind of a player, I don't think he is. I appreciate Gav's confidence, and I think that's a big reason why Cai feels an attraction to Gav. Cai is naive, and more than likely a virgin. He's skeptical about this. Cai has a major attraction to Gav, but is resistant. But Gav keeps pursuing Cai. It seems clear that Gav, as the more mature and experienced one, can see the potential in Cai for a real relationship.
Terrence: from what I see, he was in a sexual relationship with Gav, but dumped Gav for a girl, while Gav was going through the painful loss of his grandmother. So Gav has no feelings left for Terrence, as he was so betrayed by him.
I do think that, with four episodes left, that Cairo will claim his love for Gav.
But does anyone else think that Gav might have contracted COVID-19? He had a coughing fit in a previous episode. And, in this last episode, he claims to have been sick to his stomach and not feeling well.
Prediction: Gav will test positive for COVID-19 and end up in the hospital. (While Cai's father is in the hospital fighting COVID!) Cai father will pull though, Cai will declare his true feelings for Gav, then Gav will get through COVID and the two of them will live happily ever after.

Am I crazy? Could be, lol.
