I love the characters, as well as the depth of development. I even found myself not hating Terrence this episode. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "There isn't a person you wouldn't love if you could read their whole story."
I thought Cai's father would pull through but he didn't. My prediction for the last 3 episodes:
Ep. 8: Cai is grieving for his father, and staying away from Gav and everyone else. At the end of Ep. 8, Gav has troubles coughing. fever, goes to the hospital.
Ep. 9: Gav tests positive for COVID, Pearl gets a hold of Cai to let him know. Cai is devastated because he can't be in touch with Gav.
Ep. 10: Gav pulls through, Cai and Gav reunite. (I'm guessing still not in person.)
Just my prediction... I haven't been right so far, lol!
When Gameboys first started, did any of us think that it would turn into the best and most intense drama of the year? I figured it would just be a lighthearted diversion during quarantine... boy, was I wrong! Fantastic.
Truth be told, I started out liking this series but now find it pretty boring. I'll watch until the end, because it's so short, but this is pretty much a fail for me. Sorry.
At first, I wasn't all that wild about Cai. Sure, Gav came on really strong, but Cai has been kind of nasty to him. Honestly, I wasn't even sure what Gav even saw in Cai, other than that he's kind of cute. But I've changed my opinion.
As much as Gav comes off as kind of a player, I don't think he is. I appreciate Gav's confidence, and I think that's a big reason why Cai feels an attraction to Gav. Cai is naive, and more than likely a virgin. He's skeptical about this. Cai has a major attraction to Gav, but is resistant. But Gav keeps pursuing Cai. It seems clear that Gav, as the more mature and experienced one, can see the potential in Cai for a real relationship.
Terrence: from what I see, he was in a sexual relationship with Gav, but dumped Gav for a girl, while Gav was going through the painful loss of his grandmother. So Gav has no feelings left for Terrence, as he was so betrayed by him.
I do think that, with four episodes left, that Cairo will claim his love for Gav.
But does anyone else think that Gav might have contracted COVID-19? He had a coughing fit in a previous episode. And, in this last episode, he claims to have been sick to his stomach and not feeling well.
Prediction: Gav will test positive for COVID-19 and end up in the hospital. (While Cai's father is in the hospital fighting COVID!) Cai father will pull though, Cai will declare his true feelings for Gav, then Gav will get through COVID and the two of them will live happily ever after.
What I like about this show is that whenever we think we've got it figured out, it throws us a plot twist. So...
Now that Kim (in Pan's body) has woken up, I would imagine he will freak out just a little, yes? (After having been unconscious all this time.) If I had to guess, I would say that Kim and Way will end up together, and so will Khet and Pan. Not sure where that leaves Soda... maybe with Phingphing?
With this episode the series really made me sit up and take notice. I was riveted from start to finish. That Terrence…
Yes, @FreshKicks, we are so on the same page!
Terrence has ulterior motives, for sure. Maybe he was in love with Gav, and Gav never reciprocated (just a theory), so now he's going after Cai as a revenge. I somehow don't totally believe Terrence's story.
Cai is naive, so I will cut him some slack (just a little). He really did look ashamed at then end. It seemed he was about to say "I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking" when Gav cut him off (totally understandably).
Gav: Kokoy's acting was on point! Wow, this guy has it all... looks, charm, and talent! I was so moved by his final scene.
This show is so weird I'm actually enjoying it! Kim dating his bizarre teacher and stealing test answers from her? Kim is the star character of the show, so I'm pretty sure there must be some good reason for it. Since it looks pretty clear that PanKhet will end up together, I'm assuming that Kim/Way will end up together, too. But I guess we'll all have to wait and see... I will keep watching!

Am I crazy? Could be, lol.
