I totally agree with you about kla and techno i watched the uncut episode and their scene really creeped me out…
The ending for TinCan ruined the show for me. Really sorry to say this, because I liked LBC so much.
When you say, "TinCan ended like that because the previously planned season 2 was axed," I don't really buy into that, and here's why:
In the novel, Pete's girlfriend (I forget her name) stirs up all kinds of trouble for AePete, leading to them splitting up. The girl was introduced in the series, but then never heard from again... so AePete got to have a happy ending and we weren't left with a cliffhanger or feeling sad for them.
New, the director could have done the same with TinCan. I read that New intentionally gave TinCan an unhappy ending, so that all the couples wouldn't have the same outcome.
Umm... couldn't you have given the RAPIST an unhappy ending instead?? (Banging my head against the wall to try and make sense out of this.)
Tincan started their relationship in episode 11. And never really dated. So, I'm thinking it's unfair to compare…
The Tin/Can buildup started way before Episode 11. I would have been okay with Tin/Can not happening if there was no interest from Can, but that wasn't the case. There were the moments of "getting goosebumps and having to poop" (inferring that he was in love), the moments of jealousy and, in the uncut version, a long kiss that Can asked to repeat. Not to mention how Tin is left... he was just beginning to trust someone and now that is GONE.
It's so too bad, because I really, really liked LBC. But now I wish I had never watched it... I feel violated and that it was a waste of my time.
LBC screwed up big time. You do not leave your audience with the unhappy ending that Tin/Can got. With all the flirting, teasing, sexy music, kissing, jealousy, etc., ...we were led to believe they would end up a couple. Unacceptable. LBC went waaaayyyyy down in my estimation.
Finales are important. This one was about the worst. How many people would be happy if it was Ae/Pete that got the unhappy ending?
If there's one thing that future BL series can learn from LBC, it's this: never assume you're getting a Season 2!! Make sure that you end your Season 1 on a high note.
I know not everyone likes TinCan (I do), but having them not end up together was bad. The series has been building them up all season, with all the flirting, the sexy saxophone music when they're together, Tin's opening up emotionally...
Since we got almost none of TumTar and KengklaTechno during the season (seriously, why were they even there?), it would have been no big deal if neither of those couples ended up together. But with TinCan we got screwed on the ending.
The problem was that at first this drama when it was under MCOT, P'New had believed that a second season was a…
It sounds like, because there may not be a Season 2 (with the same actors), LBC --as good as it is-- may end up being the most frustrating and disappointing BL series ever, because of unresolved (and undeveloped) plot lines. Fingers crossed that this is not the case, as would be a horrible thing to do to fans that have invested so much of their time in the series.
I'm still watching, but I'm more interested in the Farm/Bright/Rit triangle. Bright is 20 years older than Farm, and I don't think a relationship with that big of an age difference has been featured in a BL series before. Farm went from being a naive kid in TWM to now being a shady player (thanks to Bright). Bright seems to have gone from being a big hoe to genuinely caring about Farm. Rit is sweet. I'm curious to see where it all leads.
Korn and Knock: not really interested, as I've never really bought into them as a couple.
the thing is if they followed the book, they wud have had ALOTTTT of drama between AePete and after seeing the…
Yeah, that's what I hear, that the book has Trump coming back, Ae getting in trouble for almost killing the guy. AePete are split up for three years... ugh. I agree--especially if there is no Season 2, we need happy endings next week. Unresolved cliffhangers would be terrible!
Ep. 13 seemed like a waste of an episode for me... nothing happened to move the plot (except the Tum/Tar scene). TinCan are still in the same place. With AePete, we just saw a long, boring happy birthday scene with Ae's family. Let's hope Ep. 14 is good for all of us.
This was the first episode I did not like so much. It was kinda... boring for me.I guess my biggest problem are…
I agree, this seemed boring (although I haven't seen it with the subs). TinCan are fine with me, I would just like to see their relationship evolve a little faster. Now that AePete are a happy couple, I don't find them so interesting anymore. (I'm not into the extended family scenes with the little girl, even though she's cute and all... )
And I'm with you : for the final episode next week, I hope the directors considered that, if Season 2 is not for sure, the audience should not be left with cliffhangers.
