I guess it's an Asian thing. No offence to any Asians out there. At least they admitted a couple of things...…
Speaking of tropes, I wonder if the 'vengeful ex-girlfriend' (or 'vengeful girlfriend' because half the time, she's still dating the guy when the gay relationship begins) is a particularly Thai trope? I don't recall seeing it in any Chinese BLs and I'm certain I've never seen it in any Japanese ones.
Don't be too hard on Tonhon Chonlatee. Obviously GMMTV rushed this series (including I'm Tee, Me Too) to make…
Oh, even if I'm Tee, Me Too was rushed, I still enjoyed it. I don't know if the storyline was particularly groundbreaking, but all the actors in the same drama being awesome and hilarious pretty much did it for me.
We've had several amazing BLs in terms of quality this year like for example ITSAY, GSP, Cherry Magic and Manner…
Heavily saturated at that. I'm looking forward to about three or four BLs next year, so I hope they deliver. I appreciate ITSAY and MOD a lot, but I'd still like to watch series in which the romance is the primary factor in the show. Like for ITSAY, the romance is obviously there, but for me there were louder themes like coming-of-age, accepting one's sexuality etc. and then for MOD, we're not even 100% Tan isn't a murderer at this point LOL but in terms of production quality, yes. They definitely set the bar.
Thai BLs from the second half of 2021 onward had better meet a new standard because from this comment section and that of a lot of other BLs released this year/season, fans have had it. :l
But some people (myself included) love these types of cliche dramas.....
ITSAY also doesn’t have very many comedic elements to it either and is a very heavy drama. I don’t know if we really need that to be the standard...even though I did really enjoy it.
Sometimes, couples have an “opposites attract” type of chemistry that makes them more dynamic and arguably more entertaining. Sometimes, couples just match. They’re best friends and their personalities compliment each other perfectly. Gui and Solo are the second one. They just fit. This series is uncomplicated, very typical, and not memorable. However, sometimes it is nice to see a couple that are confident in themselves and their relationship and aren’t easily shaken. I don’t know if that needs 13 episodes worth of a series, but that aspect was still nice to see.
Phu and his bunny were cute. Can’t complain about them at all.
Nothing to say about anyone else except that it would have been nice to see Khem get the other doctor.
The way Zon tilts his head ALL the way back and looks at Saifah and smiles like "I love my giant my boyfriend".... They're just adorable. Tbh I was just really here for Saifah Zon....not so much the story.
Regarding your photo. I also don't understand how people like The Untamed. I think it is VERY OVERRATED too!!!…
Hahaha true....but people who find the untamed overrated are few and far between...even when they do express their opinion, it shouldn’t matter that much to the fans because literally so many people love it. Hahaha
You say it better than I could, but I feel the same. I didn't expect a lot from this series but it's turned out…
Totally agree. Of the several BLs currently airing right now, I've found myself really look forward to Wednesdays to watch this show. I don't know if it's Kim/Copter's chemistry, Kim's pure charm/acting skills, or the all 'vintage' (from like 3-5 years ago lol) BL feels, but I'm really loving this show.
Huff... actually I don't really care about Wayu and Pha, lol. Mark and Kit on the other hand I love xD
I think Kit has always been overwhelmed at the thought of seriously dating Mark. I also think that even if Kit weren't rushing to get Wayu to go see Pha that he would still feel very awkward about Mark's big confession/proposal, even if he did truly appreciate it. But because the whole Pha/Wayu thing happened, maybe Kit also feels apprehensive because he's never been in a relationship and doesn't want to end up like Wayu in the future? Hopefully, it all gets ironed out next week, though.
