yea.. it gets me too frustrated, even with the 'good' guys in them bc some of them are such pushovers that i can't even properly root for them.. like if you're gonna let yourself get treated that way, why should i feel bad for you lol

it's sad that the final arc is a bit of a letdown from how great it was in the beginning

i've watched quite a few clips of Ruyi.. (i'm a fan of janine chang and zhou xun is great in her role too from what i've seen) but haven't taken the jump to fully watch yet. it just seems tooo long with all the same scheming within the harem and the bad guys getting away with far too much for far too long

i like bingeing shows because i'm too impatient to wait for new ones week by week. it was only by chance that I saw the first few eps while it was on in the background when i was over at my cousins. it was frustrating to learn it was a new drama and had only 8 eps (enough to def get me so hooked and fueled my addiction -.-) released at that time. it was so hard to wait for new eps! i seriously just kept replaying the 8 episodes over and over for that whole week until new eps were released. and even though i had obviously watched the eps so many times already, i was still playing them well into the early hours of the morning and was pretty much getting only 4 or 5 hours of sleep daily. and then i would think 'why am i doing this to myself???' but still couldn't help it cus once i would start from ep 1, i just had to keep rewatching until ep 8 as a whole set each time (yea i'm weird lol) and still crying as hard as i did at some of the scenes as when i watched them for the 1st time

the initial fall for it... the longing for the new eps.. the obsession and rewatching of the aired eps while i wait for the new ones. the many discussions and fangirling here.. ahh it was such a great time and moment to be in

he is very loyal (sometimes to his own detriment) to those he loves and fights hard for them.. he's such a ride or die 🥰

what i would give to go back to the feeling of watching/experiencing this for the first time.. sigh..

ahh this brings back memories.. was like this even when i was waiting for new eps to air.. just rewatching the subbed ones that were out and even the raw ones because i was too impatient lol

quite sad that that's an issue.. acting is all about inhabiting someone else and being someone else that may be wildly different from you. you wouldnt want to have to deal with villains in real life obv but that's what makes watching them on screen fun.

open to any ideas you have :)
