No it wasn't... Compared to Bong Soon This drama was Terrible. But I judged it as a stand alone...And still was…
"The Glory" is a character driven plot but the plot is still good. In the Rom-Com realm, more comedy than romance even, "Welcome to Waikiki" is all around the place when it comes to the plot, and it is all about the characters, and the character development makes more sense. Yes, there are plot holes in every show, but still, the plot must be coherent, it must make sense within its own rules, and Do Bong Soon fails horribly at that. The actors did an amazing job, but the character development was absent throughout the show. The show is funny, but that's about it.

My taste is bad..? Maybe different, but I can assure it is not bad. Do Bong Soon is average at best! The superpowers element and that both leads are cute makes up for a million plot holes in that show. The villain is covered with plot armor from start to finish and even the romance is lacking with several episodes wasted in a love triangle only to make it so the main leads got together because the script said so, and not because of character development... But you can like the old classic tropes and no substance, and if that's what you call good, I respect that.
This is what happens when you do some research in the comments in MDL before possibly wasting your time on a show ... I do jump in blind every now and then, but this is what MDL is for me.

In the first place, "I don't like" love triangles and that should be enough reason for "me" not to watch them, but if I have to tell you one of the "problems" with Love Triangles is that while sometimes they work as comedy causing jealousy and other times provide us the satisfaction of them failing at every attempt and being rejected and defeated, most of the times is just a literal waste of time, since some people end up developing second lead syndrome for a character that will not end up with the girl because take a guess, he is not the main male lead. Another problem is that it is a waste of time because regardless of the time you invest into that "ship" it will not sale, so you won't get your reward for waiting, and that is time that could be used to develop the main lead's relationship. There are a million reasons, but I'll just give you a third and last one; we are supposed to be immersed in the story and the romance, we are supposed to believe that main leads have true love, but having one of the lead hesitating about another person for too long does not help, and/or the classic trope where one of the leads disrespects their already partner completely by siding with the other person does not help either.
In conclusion, I just don't like them, but as you can see there are many reasons why I find them unnecessary, UNLESS, the love triangle is short and serves a purpose. Love triangles for the sake of using the old classic trope for a million time is for masochists.
i heard there will be a love triangle based on one review- is it going to ruin the show? im on ep 1 and im scared…
I don't like love triangles, so I did stress a little, but it was more my hate for Love Triangles than the Love Triangle itself. The writers make you feel like this other guy is a threat but don't worry about him, he has no chance and the Love Triangle is closed in a timely manner.
The cover shows clearly the female lead with a wedding dress and another guy, and the synopsis of the show is literally the girl trying to get married with ML's brother.. the plot is a love triangle... lol
In which episode did they get together? In which episode did they breakup and get back again?Any love triangle…
They get together early and their relationship evolves naturally. Some may believe that they get together even earlier than episode 5 or 6 since they care about each other and get close really quickly. There is a small love triangle, but the other guy never gets even close to the slightest chance to even confess to the female lead, and they are only friends across the whole show with no uncomfortable intimate scenes like some "friends" on other shows. The main leads never break up, but they do spend a lot of time separated but it is because they get busy with their own personal matters so it is not really a "separation", however, they use this to show how much they miss and love each other which is very well done.
The first time I watched it I stopped at ep 1, the second time I’m stuck at ep 3. I tried hard to continue before…
The show is great, but it takes too long to become a wholesome story about appreciating what he has in front of his eyes. It is only when he understands that he loved his family, and when the wife realized as well that she had to change as well.
I'm sorry but what's this drama? watched only the first episode and I couldn't see a glympse of reason to continue...…
This drama is great! Wholesome and has a beautiful message towards family and communication. However, it is very slow for the first episodes and it takes time really get into the good part. At first it is no more than fantasy/time traveling and "funny" situations as the ML goes into this new version of his present, but it won't be until much later that he starts to appreciate what he has lost and tried to get it back. I loved this show, but I wouldn't rewatch it since I don't think I have the patience.
I don't know why people write such bad things about this series. It's really good. The main characters are the…
I am considering watching this as my very first BL ever! It was a recommendation. I am looking for a no break up show where the leads get together early. Do you think this could be it?
I am on episode 4 and i dropped this drama. Its unbearably bad. like it’s ridiculously bad. i only got to episode…
You are not missing much by dropping this show. I want to respect those that say that this is their favorite drama, but I want to believe that it was maybe their first drama and that's why it has a special place in their heart because this show is just average at best! The plot is lacking and full of plot holes, and the romance is not good either! The male lead is childish and funny, but another simp, and the female lead is a girl that spends half the show liking somebody else that "oh surprise" falls for her after she starts moving on just to keep the love triangle going... The gangsters were not funny for me, and even when the main leads got together I feel like she was never really in love with him, even with their "dating" scenes that felt so fake. The show is entertaining and the romance is carried by the male lead, but there is nothing much to this.
In conclusion, I just don't like them, but as you can see there are many reasons why I find them unnecessary, UNLESS, the love triangle is short and serves a purpose. Love triangles for the sake of using the old classic trope for a million time is for masochists.
