Maybe is the years watching K-Dramas, but I saw this happening from a mile away! I have repeated and repeated…
All the signs were there! I understand that people got upset because the love triangle trope was overdone and overwhelming, but even with the love triangle you could see the little things that only happened between the main couple.
Maybe is the years watching K-Dramas, but I saw this happening from a mile away! I have repeated and repeated that the love triangle trope was intended for the girl to experience the superficial and hollow perfect relationship versus the genuine and true love.
I was also right about her feeling uncomfortable on episode 9, and maybe even from before, and it was all over her face. The girl looked tired and more than complying because she liked the guy is like fear of saying no to someone you consider superior.
The nature of the interactions was completely different from the beginning. The SML while having exclusive scenes with a lot of colors, was not only forcing his way, but overwhelming and without any depth other the meeting an old friend, for which the first interactions were more than enough, while with ML while simpler, things were more intimate.
The girl only touched hands with ML, she only ever had physical contact with ML, and the way she looked at him was warm and caring.
I made clear that I understand this trope, but dedicating so much time and attention to it, was wrong. I feel like everything that happened on episode 9 and 10, at least about closing the love triangle, could have happened in one episode, and even before episode 9, the whole execution of the trope with the girl and SML spending time together should've been for no more than 2 episodes.
I don't expect the main couple to break up now, and they will give us as much dating era as possible, but two things will remain until the end. The first one is SML being nice to FL, which will be inconsequential now because she will finally not go with whatever he wants to do, and will keep some distance outside of work, and of course, the kid's grandad which will only be resolved in the last episode to close the plot.
The difference is that "Spring Fever" doesn't deviate from the original premise, allow character development and the romance between the main couple is straight forward without unnecessary complications.
As an outsider coming back here and X every week to see everyone’s reaction on this show is the most entertaining…
I started like that, and made the mistake of switching from outsider reading comments, to watching the thing and be haunted by these expectations that things will get better only for things to get worse...
Tbh I don't even know what I'm watching anymore... Like I'm sorry but it's my first time watching a kdrama where…
This has turned so bad, and this might be controversial, but even the baby character is not likable anymore. The kid is just decoration at the moment.
The story should be about the kid, but at least before, with the love triangle, the kid would reject this other dude trying to force his way in, but now even the baby is completely fine with the replacement. I thought that the baby would reject the guy, bite him, kick him and even get sick because his uncle left, but the baby became another device for SML to keep going deeper into FL's life which is just uncomfortable to watch by now.
ML is not perfect, and his noble sacrifice of going away and thinking that she should be SML is beyond stupid, but I am still on his team for now.
This scary thought just entered my head: IS THIS DRAMA AN INTENTIONAL DELULU BAIT FOR WOMEN TO MAKE THEM THINK…
A lot of tropes and cliches are designed based on the fantasy of women, but not all tropes double down, and triple down, and quadruple down this hard in other dramas.
His character was a huge fail for this one. The love triangle trope completely displaced the actual main plot causing the ratings for this show to plunge.
There was a small window for a love triangle, but this character has taken too much space, and this is probably one of the biggest disasters this year, and all because of this character alone.
I honestly don't know how much the MDL rating affects them, but I do hope that one way or another they are getting…
That's the least they should do to reward our time. We should be surprised with a lot more! We should get SML out of the picture immediately have at least the two episodes and a half of what was promised, a story about the in-laws (hopefully by next episode couple) and their baby in a family drama about healing.
I put this drama on hold a little bit in hope that I see improvement in the future EP but I am so sorry I can't…
The only other drama where I have seen something similar was "My Sweet Mobster". The love triangle trope was different but it was a constant for the first 10 episodes with the classic oblivious girl that doesn't realize that this guy wants her, and spends a lot of time with the guy, and even after getting together with ML the other guy feels that he has the right to keep ML in check.
I was also right about her feeling uncomfortable on episode 9, and maybe even from before, and it was all over her face. The girl looked tired and more than complying because she liked the guy is like fear of saying no to someone you consider superior.
