Yeah... they definitely got away from the very interesting and funny premise about her as a chef. If the writers went with that they would have a much better show with good character development. They even could keep the company issue going but as something secondary to add some angst to the girl's career; maybe the brother blocking her way to get back at his brother. I also agree that her behavior and the decisions she made with someone she just met made no sense, specially after her boyfriend told her straight to stay away from the bad apple. Better luck next time.

Unfortunately, Dramaland suffers from holding on to past memories and events. A normal person wouldn't let something from their childhood or teenager years to define the rest of their lives, but there still are too many dramas where the main couple either love each other or hate each other just taking a single event or series of events from 10 years ago. For me, this is beyond unrealistic which is why most times I prefer the love stories when they just met and fell in love versus the childhood sweethearts storylines ...

I believe they do these to promote values and family... it is like there are some Chinese dramas that end up in separations or divorce in the original work, but the show adaptation must have a happy ending to promote family.
