She's probably driven crazy by the lighting, the closeups and the dangly bits, haha. She hates that kind of stuff.…
LOL I meant the hair dangly bits. AvenueX hate-talks about them all the time, how they are in the way and get caught in things, etc. etc. But there are references to dangly bits! Well, not very dangly. Have you not seen the thrusting sword during the rain? Bwahahaha. Have you not seen the way Duke Su was wiping his sword while holding it upwards from his lap? Heh heh heh. #naughty
I feel the end is problematic. How could an imposter live out her life with a corrupt official (her second husband)…
Please tell us how Xiao Heng is corrupt so I can reply to your point. Please give examples of his actions and why you think he's corrupt. Let me know which episode so I can rewatch the dialogue. Thank you.
In the novel, her soul took over jiang li’s body when she was murdered and when jiang li died after a suicide…
Corrupt officer? I don't understand. Are you saying the ML Xiao Heng was corrupt? Because that would be wrong, in the drama or novel.
I believe SYR and the Princess were beheaded in the book.
You cannot transpose this story to a modern setting because of the Internet and the use of smartphones and cameras. It would have to be completely rewritten. As an intrigue writer, I would probably not use Jiang Li (the real one) being sent to a prison-like setting. I would have made her a young runaway who fell into bad hands. In a gritty novel setting, I would make this a female-centric human trafficking story, with the heroine rescued and seeking vengeance that way. She would somehow gain enough power through the black channels (aha! She could be a great hacker, our modern version of a cai nue) and her resources would intrigue our very rich CEO who also has a double agent status.
As an ancient drama with wuxia elements, this is a fine script With the transmigration factor written out, I thought they managed to move the main plot through the original elements very well.
Aside from the things I find very subjective in her reviews, she seems to be ignoring some important aspect of…
I do enjoy her but often disagree with her. That doesn't mean she's wrong but yes, she's a bit prejudiced in certain areas, especially about lighting LOL. From years of watching her, I could tell which actor and actress trigger her, her likes and dislikes and how she views a show. She certainly has made me laugh a couple of times. However, lately, I think she's grown tired of c-drama. Her weekly complaints about watching just because of being a reviewer is telling. But her dedication and contribution through the years are admirable.
Now I really strongly believe avenue x got prejudice against Wang Xing Yue and she probably hated the first impression…
Wow. I haven't listened to her live yet, but I didn't know there was a standard in ancient Duke acting. Heh. For me, WXY did fine playing the arrogant and cunning Duke Su, with a hidden boyishness and sense of humor. You could tell he had royal power behind the way he sauntered in unannounced everywhere and the lazy sleeping poses, LOLOL. Dude owned every scene he was in. Ah well, I wonder what other 20-something she was comparing him to that held such honor in her heart.
Can someone explain in ep 2, why the thief couldnt stab XFF in front of XH in the Zhenyuu Hall?
Because he wasn't really that kind of a criminal. He was the son of a minister. XXF gambled by llying they were lovers, trying to shock him, to give the other side (Duke Su) a chance to attack. Duke Su, however, also liked to play games. LOL.
idk if this only me but I feel like jiang li has more chemistry with shen yurong than xiao heng😂 . The angst…
Jiang Li had chemistry with everyone! Heh. But there was no comparison with her and Xiao Heng's chemistry. Their doubletalk and sexy eyeing of each other were the highlight of this drama.
I copy past this post on the discussion to refer to it to the believer of the sad ending. This is a happy ending…
Yes, thank you for taking the time to write this post. There are many other things pointing to the fact that he lived and that the returning rider was him, but eh, got tired here of reposting :). I'll just let them be sad. :)
Guys, don't listen to AvenueX and miss out this gem of a drama.
She's probably driven crazy by the lighting, the closeups and the dangly bits, haha. She hates that kind of stuff. But yeah, she missed a really good drama for dropping The Double.
I respectfully disagree your observations. Their repartees with each other strike down everything you just wrote.…
Point taken (respectfully, LOL) And yes, I have long contended that the Director has a hardon for SYR and thus we see all these moments of him, his eyes, his suffering, his drawing spiders, his long death, etc. etc.
I’m so happy to see you describe TD as steamy because some people think lack of kisses equal no steam.
Please check out the thread in Other Discussions (above) about Couple Moments and Dialogue. A few of us have reposted our fun lists about their word plays and couple moments that build up their romance and love. Thanks!
