Yes, she asked for it. Lol.
The story told by the young kid is probably a distorted “myth” told through 1000 years. Remember, YQ went insane looking for her soul. Those darn gossiping fairies. Also, Shi Yan was protecting AhYin from being found because he wanted to strengthen her soul. Unfortunately, she kept dying young! Pay attention to what he said to her again. It’s important for understanding her and YQ’s fates.

I really like the drama! Zhao LuSi is really great, portraying different stages of AhYin/FengYin and the drama has been following the book quite closely. Episode One, for example, is chocked full of so much info. Everything most viewers have been asking is there in Episode One, if you watch carefully--the whole background story, the future, AhYin's ghost's questions and replies foretells what the future AhYin would be like, so many other things. I thought it was quite clever.
I could felt Yuanqi’s pain/guilt/desperation when he accidentally killed AYin. Other than this scene, he has…
Also, in defense, Yue Hua was 20000 years old compared to YuanQi's 300? YuanQi as GuJin did treat AhYin like a sister for quite a bit before realizing he was thinking about her too much and then started to analyze his protective feelings about her. I think the change became more apparent in their travels to the human realm.
WAY, the actor, tried to change the way he looked at AhYin at this point but his microexpressions aren't very well-done. Li YunRui who plays HongLi has better micro-expressions, conveying attraction, anger, frustration and even fear in very distinctive ways. WAY haven't really shown much difference, except when he became sad about AhYin's death and FengYin's subsequent treatment of him. In this forum, we've adopted a name for this look, called the Sad Pikachu Face. You'll now never look at him the same again, eh? Bwahaha. Like I said, I still like WAY and I'm still hoping for a strong finish for him. He has some really Big Scenes coming up. Bring it on, WAY, I'm rooting for you!
Wasn't Yuan Qi suppose to marry Feng Yin anyway for political reasons? Or was he just there in episode 1, because…
Here are some spoilers. Please bear in mind drama might not show it the same stuff/details. 1) The book has a happy ending with one of those xianxia epilogues. I suspect the drama will have one of those quickie minutes long sudden appearance and hugs. In the book, the epilogue had YuanQi trying to wake his wife up because their daughter is missing. FengYin said, Just leave me alone. She's probably in the company of handsome men. She likes that." YuanQi then says his daughter is like her mother. Not sure y'all will see this.
2) The book has YuanQi having only one piece of his soul left that his sword reshaped into his current human body. The reason why he keeps appearing and disappearing is because he has used a lot of energy sealing the devil prison and then giving more soul special essence or whatever you call it into that lotus to save AhYin's final reincarnation. He has given AhYin a lot of his essence without her knowing it, so if you think about it, a piece of him is actually with her all along.
3) The marriage thing. This is hard to explain. In many spoilers I've looked at, I've seen a shot of Hong Yi drinking with YuanQi, so I'm confident this will happen. HongYi was going to go propose and YuanQi made him drunk and took his place. :) I'd like to keep part of the reasons about this scene to myself and see how it pans out because I don't want to spoil expectations whether she'd accept this sudden new suitor. In the book, she did, but all this is sort of ruse to cover up an investigation into Daze Mountain Incident. But I'm not sure they're going to make this into a misunderstanding again. LOL.
4) Why they cannot find the Big Bad, who is Hua Mo, the Bitchcovk Dad. Hua Mo is very insidious. He was a powerful immortal and was in line to actually be top contender to govern the Heavenly Kingdom. But he's been cultivating with the Demon and has secretly become a god himself. He can hide his status and also demur the position and instead, pushed his daughter to govern for 1000 years. It was a way to allow him to be more powerful while he devour his and Eagle people (remember the Eagle clan was missing people and there was this cave on the island they wanted to explore and thus the whole war between Peacocks and Eagles. AHA, right? Now you know what happened to those missing immortals).
5) Back to the YuanQi's life essence problem. His main problem had always been the inability to communicate. His parents never told him or each other anything, so he inherited this flaw too. LOL His punishment pronouncement to AhYin was to keep her prisoner in his palace (where no one would dare go, thus protecting her) until Daze Mt comes back. This sounds like she would be in there forever because everyone, including AhYin, thinks Daze is gone forever. He said it that way because then everyone would be satisfied with this punishment. However, AhYin thought that meant he didn't love her any more and was abandoning her. He didn't tell ANYONE that Daze Mountain would come back in 1000 years (or somewhere around that time) because his Chaotic souls have been sacrificed (except for that one piece) to power his sword to bring those souls back. You'll see this scene when they show Daze Mountain again. FengYin will recall his words when she saw this miracle but it would be too late because all the Bendan battery juice was going to be all used up and Poof! There goes Ta Bendan.
So, is that enough spoilers for the day? :) I'll write something about the Hidden aspects of this story in a lone post tomorrow, if you like. The original name is not Last Immortal but Hidden God. The word "Hidden" (Yin) has so many meanings here, including our heroine's names AhYin and FengYin. I also have mulled over why Hua Shu hasn't been punished by BenDan and have come out with three reasonable (although probably eyerolling) reasons.
OK, thank you for reading this essay! Probably bored you to death.
I finally understand what has been bothering me with this drama. Despite enjoying it, there’s something missing.…
WAY is no Mark Chao, yo. His acting is also not on par with LuSi's. I like him, but it's obvious when he's side by side emoting with Queen LuSi who is the one doing heavy lifting in this drama.
I don’t think so, just look at her facial expression, she’s annoyed by it
Well, I'm not sure how the drama is going to show it or going to eliminate but in the BOOK, she was there to accept Hong Yi's proposal. Desperate measures from a desperate young man here....Again, there was another misunderstanding (IN THE BOOK, LOL). I think either the trailer is trying to mislead or they changed the plot a bit.
Let me try to answer your questions one by one. (As far as I know)1- First of all, the part of this series where…
Do you want the spoiler for that? Because when I tell it the last time, someone got mad because it didn't turn out exactly that way in the drama. My spoiler is book spoiler and might be shown a little differently. Like this wedding proposal thing you see in the trailer...it's a little different from the book. I am not clicking on the spoiler button so that those who read it and not want to read the spoiler from BOOK will not click on this thread if you say yes.
