Nooo, I am not complaining!!! I am just cryingðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Just came here after watching 25th episode. Yesterday…
Not disagreeing with you, but just wanted to add that AhYin did what she did because she had already given up hope. Even her sister and her place of origin had been destroyed (so she believed). This man whom she loved had totally killed all her hope. But I'm not all on YQ about it--he's just a Ta Bendan, like AhYin had called him.
Oh my gosh. I can't link (still new here) but I just saw a short on LuSi dubbing most of her heartwrenching scenes. She cried so much while doing it--all the tissues--and I was getting teary-eyed again, even though she was just standing in front of a mic.
He act so might destroying Ningyun Mt and punishing FL but prior before this he beaten by Qi Ling and her minions.…
Because he asked the Magical Rock for help to get back Feng Yin's soul pieces. The Rock says are you willing to pay the price. AhYin is part of Gu Jin's tribulation in getting back FengYin back. GJ just never knew how steep the price was, but Dong Hua did. That's why he made the master-servant bond AND tied the retribution to the Daze Mountain. I am torn to the reasons why because he said he fortune-calculated it (in the drama). So, either, he knew there was no avoiding it, but he wanted to give them a chance by giving GuJin the Umbrella, so that when it comes, the retribution wouldn't be as disastrous, or, he was a really dumb god-to-be and made the disaster a thousand times worse by tying Daze Mountain to the retribution. LOL
Most people say there is no need to watch ALP, but I think differently. Yes, the series does not proceed as a…
Exactly. And when I try to explain YQ's reluctance, many viewers get a bit frustrated because it's not shown in the drama and tell me (and others) to stop bringing out book stuff because it's not shown. In a way, they are correct, so I stopped talking about it, even though, really, it's the drama Ancient Love Poetry that I was mostly connecting to Gu Jin's character here in TLI, why he is the way he is. I think it's very clear to those of us who watched ALP how YuanQi became so hesitant in using his god powers and his inability to make good decisions :). Heck, his mother is still kneeling in front of that darn rock, haha.
What does that mean? I'm only familiar wit VLinkage Popularity #s. Is yours a good or bad #? Ah Yin was consistently…
OK, thanks. VLinkage popularity index gathers from different platforms and social media. Breaking 9.0 is a big deal and LuSi's AhYin has been above 9,0 since the debut episode. The drama was #1 in points last week, even with the three day shut off (I'd thought it would come in 2nd because of those three days), breaking over 500 points, which are good numbers. I think it will be top again this week too, in spite of another 3 empty days.
Popular TV Series Characters # of Attracted Fans for December 18-24 #1 was A Yin at 130.4K https://x.com/risti_ic/status/1740207689995874469?s=20https://weibo.com/7731939457/4983536306094293

Do i need to watch Ancient Love Poetry first before watching this? for better understanding
No to the first question, yes to the second. The character arcs, although with name changes, do seem to overlap in both dramas, from Gu Jin's background (which was given a short flashback and a stand-around-and-tell from the characters in ALP) to Hong Yi's aunt and his hatred of her forsaking his parents during the last big war to her love triangle, to the explanation of what Chaos actually mean. I mean, does the drama even try to explain about the Chaotic bloodline and what it is in context with The Rock thing that appears and how it's being used on Daze Mountain? LOL. This drama is trying to squeeze in everything into 40 episodes. It's doing an admirable job with the details, but it's sacrificing the human/character element. Every character, except for Ah Yin, is given a shortcut one-note emotion.
I know many here are unhappy (probably understatement) with the ML, but just watching it as impartially as I could,…
It is hard to watch because the drama doesn't show it as well as it could his utter inexperience in dealing with politics with beings thousands and thousands of years older than him. I kinda blame Dong Hua, who was task to teach him and in those few years, didn't pound into his head anything important. Instead, he sealed GuJin's powers and tried to help him avoid his tribulation WITHOUT TELLING HIM. See the pattern? These male immortals don't like communicating, LOLOL. Anyway, from where I sit, I see everyone running to this boy-god asking him to make decisions beyond his capabilities and some are taking advantage of his black and white reasoning. He is protective of Ah Yin in spite of what he had done here. Remember, he wouldn't let her heal Xin Yan when he realized her lifespan would be shortened. Instead, he was going to heal him with his own lifespan instead. I have said it before in previous posts, the adults are missing in this drama--the heavenly realm is shut; the mother is kneeling somewhere; Dong Hua has ascended; Feng Yuan (the real Heavenly Empress) is cultivating somewhere so she could get her old lover back....everyone who could have advised young Gu Jin if off partying. No wonder the black-smoke demons are having such a good time.
