He said it because everyone except for them in Daze is dead. His whole family is dead because he loved Ah Yin. He doesn’t BLAME her but himself because Ah Yin is his calamity.

That’s why she didn’t tell Yuan Qi that she already had suffered seven thunder strikes. Ah Yin thinks this Yuan Qi god does not love her. She wants to die.
