I know but officially, the Chinese government has banned reincarnations through certain conditions. That’s why you see certain adaptations leave out the reincarnation factor per The double and LLTG. I also think some get by (pass muster) by showing there was no deathof FL, just death of the Other. It’s Complicated trying to appease a controlling government! 😆

Actually, now that I think about it. I saw a few where being killed and being reborn into a future century also passed muster. For example, stories of female generals killed off by evil prince/husband and then she wakes up in a future self who looks like her.

Not suicide but reincarnation. It's a weird fine line because you see "rebirth" drama, like a make-do all over again story on Douyin but anything to do with rebirth into another is verboten, especially into another century. But time travel or game aspects, I still see some pass muster.
the rating was at 8.5 or something before a bunch of people just tanked the rating because they were unhappy with…
Eh, I'm one of those people who downgraded my ranking. I watched this drama twice and wrote a lot about it and considered the plot and my enjoyment of it before I downgraded it. I loved the two leads and many things about the drama, but it did not deserve my initial ranking based on my own ranking system. But I spent a lot of time and am still with the scenes of this drama so it doesn't mean I "didn't see the whole plot of the story."
Business themed dramas are usually quite boring. Even the more male centric stories like My Heroic Husband and…
CSJ would have eaten JinRan for breakfast and lunch while he spouted moon and stars, LOL. No, the boring must go with the boring and make boring children.

Yes, killing everyone at midpoint was really shocking and perhaps unnecessary. It really killed the momentum somewhat, but I see what they were trying to do. IMO Shrimp should have been kept alive somehow because women viewers get very invested in the kiddos :). And yes, Yunxiu is boring and therefore, SO RIGHT for JinRan, bwahahaha.

Yes, but I think the sudden bursts of violence makes it interesting for me. No one is safe. Although you and I hate this noble savior BS, I kind of like SMJ/DW being left alone to make it in this male-dominated society. The humor really isn't there but LuSi made it work with subtle additions--like the covering of Shrimp's ears when the men were being boys or when she poured tea on herself while drinking and observing her girlfriend flirting with a guy.
