Oh, it's still very watchable. Just a bit frustrating plot-wise, but the acting of the main couple is carrying the show hard.

That is also my problem. WTH with the showing up in her bridal clothes with a poison cup?! That is NOT remotely anything General Yin would do to someone who not only betrayed her, but his family and country. She totally became a Frankenstein.

One really must not have a fear of heights to do a Chinese martial arts drama! They're always jumping off cliffs! LOL

If it hasn't hooked you by Episode 4, perhaps it isn't for you. At least, not at this time, anyway. Maybe try another drama? Many new dramas just debut this past week!

Someone--I thing it was Mrs Gong--said it succinctly and hilariously. Meil Lin was gifted by Xiyan to Yan for peace, then after all that, she was regifted by Yan to Xiyan for peace! Bwahahaha.

There are numerous dropped plotlines. Just convenient plot armor, I suppose.

Yeah, I saw that and I'm looking forward to it. I get that it's not going to be smooth for them, sigh, but could we make the characters consistent? Since when have Mei Lin been so passive? LOL.

I'm now just waiting for the cliff scene where she had a knife to his throat, pushed him and jumped off. And MRJH followed while stupid XiyanGreenTea could only kneel and mourn. Maybe it'll get back on track by then, I don't know. My hopes are dwindling, though.
