Because he doesn't want a jealous Pei to retaliate against him by making life difficult for her. He did that to protect Xiu.

Why would you want someone so nice to end up with Pei, a man whose values system is the complete opposite of hers? A man who continues to disregard/disrespect her request to not be used as a tool in his battle against Yu? A man in whom she has zero romantic interest?

@Enigma05 -- I think Pei's father is absolutely behind the explosion and that ML suspects him. That's probably why he also wants a more complete vendor list that may help him with his undercover work to reveal the real culprit. I also hope that while Pei suspects his father of being underhanded in business that he learns the truth along with everyone else. He deserves a huge shock given the way he treats Yu.

That is so not going to happen. She recognizes that he's a snake and more important, she is not attracted to him and would never betray ML like that. She's just being pleasant to him as she is to all of her colleagues.

This is going to be so sad to watch. How can the father blame Yu, who was a small child when all of this happened and had nothing to do with the accident? And how can he condemn his daughter to misery? When the truth comes out, he's just going to have to get over himself.

It also seems to imply that that rat bastard Pei will spill the beans about the accident because he can't stand to see the happy couple, leading Xiu's father to demand that they break up. Can't wait till karma slaps him across his spiteful face when he learns that it's actually his father who is the actual culprit in the accident.

This video says the preview is for 20-21, but I think it's more likely 27-28 based on the kiss calendar.

There is no love triangle!!! Xiu considers Pei a colleague. Period. She is working with him because Pei requested that she be the liaison. ML approved it because this is really good and important work experience for her. Yes, he's jealous because he sees someone else giving her attention, but he also knows that she would never get romantically involved with his half-brother with whom he's also battling because that would be so tacky and wrong.

I don't like him going after the female lead but don't hate him for it. She's not interested in him so it doesn't really matter and will force ML to get his head together.

I hate him because he is a dirty snake and underhanded in business--that interview to make it seem like Dynamism was copying his design concept, cutting the studio off from suppliers and gets pleasure from being a viper. He also has probably treated Yu like crap since they were children.
