I would like to share my opinion on Ying Tao, as a teenager myself(please dont be harsh) until the 17th episode.…
Dear Teenager: Keep watching; I think you'll change your mind, but if you don't, that's okay, too.

I think they knew each other initially for way longer than six months. The child actors also seem to have sprouted a bit during filming (moreso him). Also, she was very unhappy living where the family was before moving because of being separated from him as well as the rest of their little crew who were already at that school or all entering it at the same time.

How was her life tangled and messy? He helped her with the physics and math before the ghosting and she worked really hard to get into the university of her choice and--keep watching--she thrived at university. Yes, she felt a little melancholy because she missed him so much, but she did not in any way allow that to interfere with her future and made friends, and if she ultimately gave up (which, thank goodness she didn't), our girl is so strong--she would have been just fine. You'll see.

What episode are you on? Please don't take anything I've said here to heart or as a criticism; everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is that this is a love worth the struggles and as I've already said, she did not let her yearning for him stop her from achieving her goals. You'll see!

Let me know what you think when you've watched it all and hoping you find your one true--
love when you're old enough, lol.

With The First Frost, we were all delighted that Sang Yan never gave up all these years; we were downright obsessed.…

I am reminded a bit tonight of Lighter and Princess. That girl was prepared to starve to death to show her devotion and her crazy parents allowed that. Another case of reckless mother and feckless dad.

I liked TBT but it didn't leave me feeling as obsessed and attached as I do with OG. I feel he has more chemistry…
I so get it. TBT just made me happy, and I loved the crazy TCM explanations at the start of each episode, and yearning for the tea leaves, but OG and TFF are devastatingly Forbidden Flower/Forever and Ever beautiful and emotionally wrenching. All are wonderful in their own way.

As soon as Netflix drops the final episodes, I am so going on a binge ride on my television, vs chasing down episodes on my laptop on Viki and Daily Motion.

Thank you to those here and on reddit who shared links to episodes on daily motion and the kiss-what's it site and hung out in the wee, crazy hours.

I have never watched Best thing so can’t say anything about that but I do agree that ZLH and ZJM have great…
Total dreamboat on TBT, and how we can go from him being a fully grown man there to a angsty teenage boy/very young adult here is AMAZEBALLS!!!

I love, love, love TBT and have rewatched a number of times. I also love, love love, OG. I think the difference is there was no real angst or tension in TBT for us or the actor, and like some of us have noted, OG is more like The First Frost. I mean, I backed the car into a brick wall (no damage) while thinking about TFF and humming one of the songs after the first watch. Some series just get under your skin and OG is one of them. Also, The Forbidden Flower just slayed me.

Hi when do the leads get together? Also do the leads get married and do we see the fl family in their wedding?
I love how they talked with their younger selves. And the little boy was, like, you smile a lot now.

Why did the ML's cousin fall from the building? The translation said he was pushed, but there was no further explanation…
He graduated from college in Hong Kong, returned to Hongyang, became a finance bro with a conscience, and made a whole lot of money.

As for the confrontation with his mother: He was calm during the talk with his mother because he had firmly made up his mind he was out of the math olympiad game and there was absolutely nothing she could do to change his mind, so why be all emotional about it? When they started talking about the brother and how she ruined his life, hinting that her treatment of him contributed to the brother dying, that's when he got very upset. But after spending time with Cherry and her family, he calmed down again. gave his parents the pick of what they wanted from his math genius life and threw the rest of that shit (or as he called it, garbage) away. Even her crashing her car like the crazy person she was didn't change his mind. He was free and going to study abroad, as Cherry encouraged him to do! Unfortunately, the business with the cousin happened and his dreams and plans were dashed.

With all of the work and studying he was drained. Didn't you hear him talk about how desperately he cried one night

The dialogue has been going around in my head. There has been so many outstanding scenes and dialogue. I hope…
I am looking forward to a rewatch binge on Netflix when all of the episodes are up and I can watch them on my TV with out the angst I experienced this week. In the meantime, I will miss this series so, so much. I was up at all hours of the night with you guys, chasing down episodes on Netflix, Viki, Daily Motion and the site shared today with the final episodes. It was nice to see I wasn't the only one up between 2:30-4 am being crazy.

Although I would have loved more of our leading man in some of the earlier episodes, 19-24 kind of made it worth the wait.

What are you all watching next? I need a passionate modern love story.

INooooo you got it wrong, I am all for having self respect and self worth but in this drama FL is not chasing…
He didn't actively choose his fear; he felt he had no choice. And it was more shame than fear, I think. Also it was all so worth it in the end because they moved many steps forward in Hong Kong. She helped him understand it was okay to not be okay, she encouraged him to continue at the University of Hong Kong when he wanted to take the college entrance exam and restart his studies to be in the city where she was studying, they made love. She won the lottery literally and in love. He was hugely successful in finance once he graduated(did you see that gorgeous apartment?), she was living her teaching dreams, and she was deeply, deeply loved.

I also love how he was so anxious to be a part of her family and call her parents Mom and Dad.

She was not dying inside.
Also, she was still young enough to feel this way and if, by some horrible circumstance it didn't work out, there would be plenty of time to find a second love.

How did she treat the SML poorly. She had no idea until she saw the photo in his wallet that he liked her and she never, ever gave him any reason to think she liked as more than just a really good friend. And he knew she was totally devoted to the ML.

Some people act like the poor girl was on antidepressants and taking to her bed or something. She was living her life, albeit feeling a void from missing him, but she was killing it at school and tutoring and maintaining /building old and new friendships.

She forgave him because it was obvious he had suffered and struggled mightily and he also loved her just as much!!!

Does anyone know why US Netflix only has 20 episodes? I just finished episode 20 thinking it was the finale since…
There will be four more. They're just torturing us for fun. You can watch episode 21 on daily motion.
