He wants his mum to be free from his father that she genuinely fears. I think with a divorce, he just wants to…
In the previews I watched for 9 and 10, he is going to seriously have many of us tearing our hair out because even with the truth out, he's still trying to challenge our beloved ML and claim Da Rim as his. It's crazy!!!
Episode 8 was so good. It had me on edge the whole hour. And, Jun for the win. May he be rewarded with many major chess championship wins. Auntie Darim!!!
I think that after the initial shock of learning the truth, our desperately-in-love male lead will understand why she's been lying. He knows all about her financial woes. She never talks about her "husband" unless Jihyok brings him up. And I don't think she's ever spoken about her "son" or being a mum like the others do. She talked about her father when planting the sapling and her mother when she was talking in her sleep at the hospital.
I can't imagine he would make her suffer knowing all of this. The little tricks he played on her after paying off the loan sharks were just for laughs and giggles. Can't imagine he'd want to see her suffer in any form, but especially by his hands in part because that would hurt him, too.
I also think that his mother urging him to follow his heart will go a long, long way toward helping him forgive the lie. So glad the two mums had that chat because Darim's mother talked some sense into his. Thank the drama gods.
Why does he so desperately want his mother to get divorced? Does he hope she'll find love again?
As for Seon, like others, I want to push my hands through my nice TV screen and slap him. How can he be so clueless? Someone below said his ex-wife probably ran for her life away from him, lol. He is seriously gross. I also wish better for SFL, but the heart wants what the heart wants. She's turned out to be such a surprise and is so wonderful with Jun. And I bet she's the type who would run off and elope if her parents disapprove of the sap.
Finally, can I be put into an induced coma until next Wednesday?
How many episodes worth of misunderstandings can you tolerate? If it's less than 50% of the drama, then this might…
It's so, so, so, so good! I will rewatch this series many times, I predict. That said, it can be a bit maddening because we want our leads together ASAP and they have such great chemistry. It honestly makes my pulse race, it's that good, even though some bits drive me a bit crazy.
I'm surprised that so many people are saying Da-rim doesn't care about Ji-hyeok. She clearly does, it's just that…
I totally agree. In fact, I think once the mum finds out about the arranged marriage she will tell him not to do it. And I'm so glad the mothers are becoming friends. I predict that in the end, the leads and their mothers will live happily ever after in chaebol heaven on a lovely estate.
The fact that they both prioritize their mothers will also impact his response to her being "married." He's basically about to do the same thing with the arranged marriage.
I don't understand why some people here are so hateful and sanctimonious. This is a rom com, for goodness sake and an early holiday gift. I love every second of it except when I'm hating on that stupid Seon, lol.
Episode 8 is just more bait, and the preview for episode 9 is even worse. That bastard Kim Seon U dared to say,…
Oh, how this made me laugh.
I have not yet watched but he was way, way, way too much in episode 7, running around like a maniac. And he can't take a hint AT ALL. When he found our leads and ML grabbed her hand, they only pulled apart when the others turned up.
I hope she puts in more effort to win him back and make up for all his suffering because of her lies. Not like…
I'm torn here. Can totally see your vision of him teasing her a bit, but generally speaking, I think he's so gaga over her that he's going to be sooooo relieved that she's not really an adulteress and him a cheater, plus he has key background re: the mum's health/hospital bill crisis and the loan sharks to justify the lies, that will help him get over the whole fake marriage business pretty quickly. He knows firsthand that her struggle was real and owns the organs to prove it, lol.
Then the four leads must join forces to save the ML's mum and kill the arranged marriage and defeat the evil half sister.
Should I watch this? im also kinda a beginner i watched only a few dramas
It is so much crazy fun!!! Can't think of anything else like it, though other more seasoned Kdrama watchers may be able to. Like, the ML and FL got me watching a couple of series I would never otherwise have watched (one historical/costume, the other modern with a fantasy twist).
I hope the SML won't use the "She's my wife" bullshit card when trying to win over FL. I don't even know…
The fact that she now has the attention and clear affection of this handsome, sexy, successful chaebol seems to have raised some dormant or perhaps even previously non-existent feelings for her in him. But yeah, he needs to stop.
What a sweet finale. For those complaining that there was not enough revenge against the Pyros: the father's business is in a shambles and he has to live with what his son has done and his utter failure as a father. Pyro son is rotting in jail and seething while watching Tae Pung thriving on TV. So glad the stupid lawyer got arrested, too. What an idiot he was for always doing that fool's bidding.
If Tae Pung's happy, I'm happy.
I love how supremely kind and relentless Tae Pung was, never giving up and never giving into petty bullshit. He wasn't out for revenge; just wanted what was his and what he fought and worked hard for and good things for those he loved.
And what a gem his mother is. I love so much how she took over raising Boem, who will turn out to be as precious a gem as Tae Pung. Also how she wanted to continue to be a family with Mi Seon's family (Nam Mo's mother: take note). The scenes when she and Tae Pung were discussing the living situation and when Tae Pung and Mi Seon exchanged gifts brought tears to my eyes.
I'm so sad this is over, but it's time. At least I still have 8 episodes of the chaotic and raucously fun Dynamite Kiss to look forward to!
