I am about to start a rewatch of it!!!

I loved it, too. They had such a fun time together. I loved how he was faux-offended by her laughing at his crazy phone case and Monkey King idol.

Am I misremembering that he apologized for perhaps moving too fast with the confession and she told him to not apologize for that.

I think at this point she's pretty over SML and is just embarrassed whenever she encounters him because she now realizes he is not the man for her and that she is worthy and deserving of so much better than that sourpuss.

He dated the mistress, but his parents disapproved of her and apparently the mistress's father is a ne''er do well, too. He married XG's mum and they got divorced because of the mistress, I believe. Don't know where the mistress got the daughter from, but she is definitely not related to XG or her father. In fact, in episode 16 she said that after XG complained to the father about bringing the girl to her aunt's party, (which is where ML first glimpsed FL, by the way) he stopped allowing the girl to go to events with him.

Yes, that girl is the one who wanted to date ML. Even if she did try to be a wrench in the works, he only has eyes for our FL. I also don't think the father will interfere with FL's job. Also, he owns 49%; ML's grandpa is the biggest shareholder.

I think she is simply stunned and the whole situation is very awkward for her, especially given their last interaction after he purposely spilled wine on her sleeve.

By contrast, XG is very confident and animated whenever she's with the the ML, she's texting him and waiting for texts from him. She's definitely falling for him. She also doesn't appear to be thinking about SML at all when away from him after that wedding. And she has give ML permission to pursue.

Sullen SML is in for a world of hurt, lol.

From what I've read from other commenters XG doesn't pay the father or the mistress's daughter any mind, thank goodness. She is not her stepsister.

No break up. From what I can tell from previews, there's a snowboarding or skiing accident and ML helps the victim. FL is freaking out because she's afraid ML is the victim and she can't find him nor has she heard from him. When they do finally meet after an expensive, 50-minute cab ride to find him, she's furious and fuming with him for not taking a second to text her and how can he say he cares if he doesn't take the time to do that, yadda, yadda, yadda. But he actually did text her, it just didn't go through because signals can be weird in the mountains, right?

Our sweet girl has fallen for this man because she nearly lost her mind with worry.

And he also says he kind of wanted her to worry--I think that may lead to the discussion about the original accident. He apparently is going to leave wherever they are after that because he's ashamed/sad he was mean to her before, she summons him to come back.

It's going to be a good time. :)

I do have Netflix, iqiyi, Viki and Tencent. And am VIP. The problem is it showed 17 as the most recent episode and I didn't realize 16 wasn't showing up and it didn't even click that I was missing something when people were saying that 16 wasn't appearing early this morning. I got brainwashed by everyone talking about how it's just one episode per day starting today even though I had been under the very strong impression that that started tomorrow.

Also, everyone's talking about 17. I saw just a few comments about the sidepiece, but nothing else about that episode.

Anyway, I feel better and tomorrow is the start of the Xi Guang Cup and another blow to Sour SML, lol.

Both. I said he looks dead behind the eyes just the other day. The actor deserves major kudos for being able to elicit so much hate!

We see the side piece and her daughter. Complete poseurs and grifters. The daughter is totally petrified of XG, who apparently has the power to make her a social exile, lol, and didn't even acknowledge her in the episode. Those awful people she was with are her new friends. XG and her grandparents also had a good gossip about her father and his antics. Apparently, the side piece's father was also a grifting piece of trash.

There were also two great encounters with our beloved ML.

First, yet another dinner with just the two of them off campus, and she was so comfortable with him as she worked through her handling of the bullies and her concern about how she didn't at first take into account the impact on Yin Jie if she was forced to pay compensation and just focused on getting the truth about what happened and holding the bullies accountable. Wise ML, of course, comforted and praised her and there was kind of a moment.

Then, after the company banquet, he offered to drive FL and her posse home, but Yin Jie, in the interest of building up good karma, was the ultimate wing man and said take XG, we're going to walk off our dinner. Our sweet couple also went for a stroll and had a very sweet chat. He said how throughout life he has always tried to do everything on the fast track but now is loving taking things slow and getting to know her.

We also saw at the start of the episode how Sullen SML came to plan a trip to the same ski resort as FL. He really should get together with Chris as she seems to be the only one who can get him to produce at least a semblance of a genuine smile.

Although the one a day starts for real tomorrow for three days, I'm feeling better.

Has anyone seen 16?

Okay, I have been in a state of confusion all day. For some reason I thought I was getting just one episode today but I actually got two. Also watched 17 without realizing I'd missed 16 because it wasn't showing up, although I did think the start of 17 was kind of abrupt. So weird.

Plus, no one here has discussed 16 and it was sooooooo gooooood!!!

He definitely wants to marry her and has already upped the family budget to accommodate her great passion for good food and lots of it, lol.

I am in US and have VIP but only have to pay $5.99 for Tencent express per series, and nothing extra for IQIYI express.

Isn't that so cool? I didn't get it either but someone explained it to me earlier. She definitely likes him. I think they spend more time with each other than anyone else and they have so much fun. She's allowing herself to be pursued.
