Following Rufeng Sect's customs, Nangong Xu requested Nangong Liu to dump Luo Fenghua's corpse into the blood pool. Once Luo's soul enters the 18 levels of hell, he wouldn't be able to reincarnate, and thus, resurrection would be possible.

Luo Fenghua is non-existant in the drama, some say. Writers combined his character with Rong Yan, so Mo Ran and Nangong Si are half-brothers.

No, not exactly. Lady Ning became 'Lady' because she offended and greatly angered Empress Dowager by speaking for Ye Qingmei (YQM once saved her and the first prince from getting killed).

When Lady Ning was a slave, she took care of the emperor who was injured from battle. In the process, she and CPP grew fond of each other. The emperor knew about it and slept with her nonetheless. He took her back to the capital where she bore the first prince and no longer was a slave.

Fast forward to the time the emperor ordered CPP to be dismembered, Lady Ning pleaded the emperor to have mercy on CPP. Realizing that she still has feelings for CPP after all those years, the emperor had her thrown into the Cold Palace.

CPP does like YQM, but not romantically. YQM is more of an idol or inspiration to him.

And yes, the emperor is FX's real dad.

FX has two wives in the novel, but the other wife doesn't exist in the drama.
