I started watching this drama and the plot seems very familiar so I must have watched a different version but don't remember who starred in the other version or its name. Any help would much appreciated! Also, thanks for all of your efforts!

This is the thirteenth adaption of the web novel Jing Zhi Yu Ye.
This is also one of my favorite series as I love how steadfast, devoted and unwavering the ML is in his pursuit of the FL. I do love a "crazy in love" ML.

There were at least 12 different versions of this drama filmed. Makes me wonder if the internet novel it's based on was was extremely popular. I'm still am not sure I understand the business model of multiple adaptions of one novel all being released around the same time... Maybe they get a bulk discount from the author (lol - just wildly speculating here)

For this version of the drama, I think it's when he realized that the FL was the actual artist.

In the novel (chapter 123), the ML indicates that it's when the FL rescued his sister when she was drugged on the ship and how she created yellow for her paintings. However, since none of this storyline (including the sister's romance) is included in this version so of the drama its probably why they left it so vague...

I thought this version and Guai Guai Ru Ju, He Shao Fang Si Jiao Chong were the 2 best of the various adaptions.

Unfortunately, I don't think the link you posted is Jing Zhi Yu Ye as it is not a rebirth drama (Jing Zhi Yu Ye starts with FL driving a car in a rain storm with her fiance and cousin making out in the back seat and she wrecks into the back of the ML's car after hearing on the radio that he has returned to China).

She's one of my favorite actresses so I'm more than willing to watch her dramas - as I said, she hasn't made a bad one yet (she has a talent for picking good scripts, and is a great actress...)

Yes, I checked all the links and they all ended at the same place. At 85 episodes it should be about 170 minutes long, but all the links out there are just around 135 minutes so I think the final 30 minutes are missing... Weird...

Very odd. This version just stops mid-drama... It should have at least another 30 to 60 minutes to wrap everything up. Did they decide to not film the final episodes and to just go with what they had or are all of the videos on YT missing the final portion of the drama? Drama literally just cuts off mid-scene (ML getting a phone call from his mom). The incompleteness of the drama accounts for its low ratings. What I watched was very good but ending the drama without wrapping up its storylines just left you hanging, especially since I have watched other versions and where this version stopped was no place near the end of the drama.

At 85 episodes seems like it should be roughly close to 3 hours long (85 episodes X2 minutes = 170 minutes) instead of the 135 minutes of the actual drama - perhaps missing the final 35 minutes...
