why is it dropping in ratings?
Too much time spent on Joseon era ML bittersweet, sad ending in the final episode (and the FLs repeated rejection of him).
Kinda bittersweet ending, especially as it related to the Joseon era ML. Since the present day ML was supposed to be his reincarnation (same soul) the FL lack of love towards the Joseon era ML was disappointing. Made you wonder what she loved about the present day ML since it obviously wasn't his soul. Final episode spent too much time on her repeated rejection of the Joseon ML, especially sad given his love for her. I hated the ending that they gave him. The writers should have been creative and found a way to make both the Joseon and the present day MLs happy.

Thought of another couple:
Angelababy & Huang Xiao Ming (married 2015, divorced 2022) - co-starred in Crimes of Passion (2013) & You Are My Sunshine (2016)

Also Eric Mun was in relationships with (but don't think they were in any dramas or movies together) the following actresses:
Eric Mun & Kim Hee Sun - dated 2002 - 2003
Eric Mun & Park Shi Yeon - dated 2005 - 2007

A Couple of Others
Push Puttichai Kasetsin & Jooy Warattaya Nilkuha starred together in Fun Fueng (2014)

Joo Sang Wook & Cha Ye Ryeon starred together in Glamorous Temptation

You definitely wrote well. I am currently on episode 16 and I can't stand any of these so called coaches tbh.…
The final 1/3 of the drama is better that the first 2/3. Less focus on the unlikable characters. The leads were the only thing that kept me watching this drama. The secondary romance was also cute. Last 2 episode were pure feel good. Definitely wasn't a 8.5 (the current MDL overall rating) drama for me.

Title Fireworks of My Heart Spoiler
Wait. The ML is acting like an ahole towards FL becuase she dumped him 8 years ago when they were still kids? And…
Actually, it not so much that she dumped him its because of what her adopted mother repeatedly did to him as he tried to improve himself.

The adopted mother in the drama is horrible but isn't as horrible as the mother in the novel. In the novel the adopted mother has him framed for an offense where he is found guilty and sentenced to death, He is only saved from death by the intervention of his birth mother. In the drama, the adopted mother has him repeatedly framed any time it looks like he might become successful, but never to the extent the crime he is framed for carries a death sentence. He's just never able to have any advancement or success in his career due to the adopted mother's repeated intervention.

Autumns Concerto is one of my favs. It came out quite a while ago but sometimes an oldie is a goodie. the kid…
I was just getting ready to recommend this one. It has all of the tropes (secret baby, amnesia, cancer, cruel mother, etc.) but put together in a totally addictive fashion.

So why is the cheating boyfriend's name translated as Tang and Song Dynasties and not Tang Song. Took me forever to figure out they were referring to a person.

I finished reading the novel that the drama is based on. The novel is not as messy as the drama as it primarily only focused on the main couple's romance. To the large extent most of the novel did make it into the drama but the drama includes a lot more storylines and relationships than the novel.

One significant difference between the novel and the drama is that in the novel, the leads do not get together as a couple until after the issues between them were resolved (i.e., the FL discovering that the ML is not the "uncle" and ML discovering real reason that the FL initially approached him). I much preferred the novel's approach and I just hope that at least like the novel, the expected breakup between the leads just lasts for a few days before it is resolved.
On Only for Love Nov 12, 2023
I've started reading the novel upon which this drama is based. I've made it to chapter 28 (out of 71).

So far, almost all of the novel has made it into the drama (mostly just the interactions between the FL & ML, with some scenes relating to her job as the journalist). The basic premise of the drama of why the FL approached the ML is from the novel.

However, the drama includes a ton of storylines and scenes that are not in the novel. The novel (at least as of chapter 27) does not include any secondary romances (so far no appearances in the novel by either Yu You or Guan Ji, so no Yu You/Shi Yue or Guan Ji/Ruo Shan romances), no focus on the ML's work (so no scenes with him meeting with the Board or other businesses, no automobile battery storylines, etc.) and no mention of the FL wanting to create a digital magazine.

So overall, the drama is just generally following the novel as it relates to the FL and ML but not the rest of the characters in the drama as they have very few appearances in the novel.
On To Fly with You Nov 5, 2023
I'm on episode 14. Am I supposed to like or even care about Luo Xiao Yi? So far, she seems petty, small-minded, entitled, self absorbed and generally unlikable.

I'm not finding much to like about Xiao Han either. Is he training Luo Xiao Yi behind the head coach's back and encouraging her to defy the school and enter a competition that she shouldn't be entering? So in his mind, the FL and the others are just there to help Luo Xiao Yi win? I think the whole story line surrounding Luo Xiao Yi is just a drag on the drama. After episode 16, I realize why I dislike Xiao Han. He's a failure as a coach, as he is just using the school's talents to only promote his one favored student. His single minded purpose cost the school a great talent in Yu Bing Ling. She ended up quitting the team and moving to Flyers because she recognized that the coach was just training her to help Luo Xiao Yi win and not to win herself. This was also the reason he brought the FL onto the team - he recognized a talent that he could use to help Luo Xiao Yi, especially since Liu Si Si was getting ready to graduate. The team only became a team because of the appointment of the head coach over him. Under his guidance the team would have consisted of one star and the rest as helpers to the one star. Luo Xioa Yi nasty attitude is a direct result of Xiao Han treating her like she and she alone matters. He was also pretty despicable in Episode 17 when he went behind the head coach's back to get the FL to train for the 1,500, especially when the head coach had just voiced concerns that it would not be in the FL's best interest to add the 1,500 at that point in time. He definitely isn't considering the best interests of the FL but again how to help Luo Xiao Yi.

I'm also not that interested in Xiao Qing. What she did with the FL's note book and the ML's posters was pretty despicable, which probably means she'll only get worse in future episodes. She acts like she is the ML's cheated upon girlfriend, instead of just being at most a friend of the ML.

I actually like the ML's relationship with his childhood friend, Li Mi. Despite being direct competitors the childhood bestie keeps helping the ML improve his skating. I also like Li Mi's girlfriend, Yu Bing Ling, who did the right thing in telling the judges that the FL didn't break the rules. Not sure the message the drama is trying to send when Yu Bing Ling is reprimanded by her coach for telling the truth. Cheat to win? Dishonesty pays? Anyway, the reprimand was a sour note in the drama.

hmm…I thot it’s 10mins every episode so it says here 30 episodes meaning 5 hrs in total, correct? If only…
Deliberations of Love (2023) was good. Drama is a historical and the ML is Richard Li.

Yang Ze also has several good short dramas: The Killer is Also Romantic, Destined to Meet You, The Origin of Eternity. I also really liked Night of Love WIth You (the villains are the main leads)

🛑🛑🛑Question1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4. Kiss scene?
1. Open Ending (ending of the final episode says "The End Season 1" implying there will be a Season 2 but no indication that such is currently in the works). However, the ending of the final episode does have the leads both appearing in the real world (versus the game world where almost all of the drama happened) so a future happy ending could be assumed...
2. Short web - each episode is only 2 minutes but still interesting
3. Good chemistry between the leads
4. Episodes 22 and 24

They become a couple in Episode 17
On Falling into You Oct 18, 2023
A very enjoyable, easy to watch, drama that I recommend.

However, I did find the ceremony at the end odd. It seemed more like a wedding ceremony than a proposal. Was that because the ML was not yet of legal age to marry? Seemed like he had a year to go when he left to go overseas and I wasn't sure how much time he spent over there. I guess it was one way to kinda give us a wedding at the end...
