I couldn't understand why Van Zhang appears so low down in the "Cast & Credits" especially given how prominent he was in the early episodes of the drama. After episode 9 I completely understand.
Watched the first few episodes of this drama and kept thinking that it seemed so familiar that I must have already watched it sometime in the past. However, after looking up the drama airing date (July 2023) it seems that there was no way that I've watched this drama in the past. Mystery solved when I realized that I've read the novel (Waiting For You In A City) that the drama is based on. The drama must follow the novel story lines fairly closely for the drama to seem so familiar based upon a novel I must have read at least a year ago.
So was this just season 1 of a 2 part drama? I didn't see any mention under Related Content above of a Season 2 but I don't want to start watching if there is a season 2 until season 2 starts airing. If not part of a 2 part series, did Xiao Yao have a happy end and who, if anyone, did she end up with? Thanks!
Overall, a super cute, no-angst youth drama. Loveable ML and FL and adorable cast. ML was sweet with his repeated failed confessions. The secondary romance wasn't as enjoyable as the lead romance due to the immaturity of Jiang Juanjuan.
I heard, perhaps incorrectly, that they filmed a happy ending to drama but didn't air it. Has this happy ending (if it exists) been publicly released? A link, if available, would be much appreciated.

Wonderful coming of age drama. Female lead was outgoing, cheerful and unwavering in her love towards the male lead. Male lead was quiet and reserved and while we really got the female leads POV drama was able to convey that he was equally devoted to the female lead.
On a side note, the drama did leave you wondering about how prevalent in real life workplace sexual harassment is when the female lead is reprimanded by her boss for not allowing a client to sexual harass her or force her to get drunk at a company social event. Leaves you wondering if this is like back carries or not, happens in most dramas but not so much IRL.

Does this mean that we have a storyline where Mrs Jang hired the “truck of doom” in the female leads 18th life to murder the male lead but killed the female lead instead? Just wondering…

The whole storyline around the May 30 date seems off. I wonder if scenes were cut and that's why it ended up being so muddled. The female lead acted too happy about the May 30 date, frequently mentioning it and counting down to it. Not the response you expect from a drama heroine if it was just to consummate the relationship.
