K-Drama
Psychological Thriller
This is a psychological thriller story, with intrigue and suspense. This is a little sci-fiction series but well done. The acting and character's story are good. It is worth watching even if you dislike fantasy stories. I see it as an intriguing and suspensful series, that is entertaining. I will continue watching it.Was this review helpful to you?
Too dramatic with inappropriate jealousy
This series is great in the beginning but then it gets too dramatic with inappropriate jealousy, so I stopped watching it at episode 19. I like the main leads, this is a series from 2020 and C-dramas evolved since 2020. I didn't appreciate inappropriate jealousy in this drama. Sometimes the music was too loud and it made it difficult to hear the conversations. Was this review helpful to you?
Excellent Psychological Thriller
This is an excellent psychological thriller. Everything about this series is so intriguing. If you can get past the violence of the first 4 episodes, the intrigue is amazing that I just continued watching. All the characters play such a great role and trying to figure out the true story behind the scenes is what makes this series interesting. Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing suspense
This is such an intriguing and suspensful series. The music makes it so intense. I had to take some breaks and also because of the intense fast pace stressful episodes, I sometimes put the mute on. It is a great series if you want fast pace, spy series.Well worth watching. No romance, no humour, just great acting with these characters.

Watched it twice
This is a spy network, drama with some comedy. There is lot's of intrigue in this story. lot's of action as well as it does contain some military drama. I did watch it twice as I had forgotten some of the story. The main lead is well known and he usually makes main roles amazing. It is worth watching if you like action stories. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful scenery
Even just for the scenery this series gets a 10. The story is simple, the acting is nice with many new actors that are not usually in C-dramas. It is worth it to travel to Western China in this series as it was filmed on location. Learning about culture is an amazing experience. I have watched many of Li Landi's series and of course she is a wonderful actress. Seeing new actors was worth it.Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet youth drama
The first episodes are a group of teenagers in high school. They live different experiences and then go on to university.Plans change, life changes and everyone needs to adapt. Like many C-dramas the theme is reunion of the same group of teenagers who were together for many years. I found the story a bit repetitive from other C-dramas, but still good to watch.
The main lead at this stage plays a 15 year old while the actor in 2026 is actually 32 years old. I did find that they choose the wrong actors for this drama as playing a 15 year old teenager needs to look the part. The actor playing the older brother in this series is actually younger that both the main leads.

Sweet university love story
This is a sweet love story during university years. Not much drama which makes it a fun and light series. I liked both main leads and of couse they are cute together. The music is surprisingly very good. What I like most is that there is a twist closer to the end of the series, and also no jealous drama which ofter happens in C-dramas.Was this review helpful to you?

I first watch this series in 2024, and even then it was my favorite series. I have rewatch the first 15 episodes many times when I want a light series with great comedy. I have watched this series 5 times. It has the best cast, great comedy, drama, intrigue. Great chemistry with the main leads. I have watched it again season 1 and 2 in 2026. Sweet romance
This is a sweet high school to university to adult life romance. It is nice to watch and very easy to understand Mandarin with this series. Always feels good to watch a young couple discover who they are through young adulthood. I enjoyed all the characters in this story and their interactions. No drama, no jealousy, no bullingWas this review helpful to you?
Part 2 is even better than part 1
As someone who doesn't usually watch fantasy series I did binge watch both part 1 and part 2 of this series and thoroughly enjoyed them. All the cast are well known and exceptional in these roles. The music is memorable and overall this series surpassed my bias regarding fantasy series. If you have the time watch both part 1 and part 2 one after the other. Was this review helpful to you?
A Must Watch
I usually do not like fantasy series but this one is the exception. It is part 1 of 2 and both are a must watch series with such a complet cast, I truly enjoyed binge watching both series. If you choose a period drama series with loveable characters this is the one for you. Part 2 was even better than this part 1.Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best series
This is a series that I count as one of the best series ever made. The humour, the political intrigue, the cast. It is for sure one of the best entertaining Chinese series. Because of the great content it is always a pleasure to re-watch this series. It is part 1 of two as of 2026, and soon to be a part 3.
I am awaiting part 3 with enthusiasm. and will probably watch part 2 again just before watching part 3.

Sweet historical series
How sweet how they created this 1970s historical political series. How difficult it would have been to be living in those times in China. A learning experience to watch this series and the creators were able to make this as sweet and realistic as possible with the hardships of those times. Watching the main leads together was a gem.Was this review helpful to you?
