wonderful series
This series has intrigue, corporate espionage, female strength of character, everything you want to watch in a series. Great actors with perfect roles for them. There are 36 episodes and I always find that after 30 episodes any series could end, this is the same with this series. I like main male lead as he seems to chooses to work in series with dept of character.Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet coming of age series
This is a very sweet coming of age series. 24 episodes is just right and the story of course; dealing with the pressures of being in high school, then teenage emotions with added parental pressures to succeed at such a young age. It makes us want to do better as parents and look back on our youth, and how sweet it can be.Was this review helpful to you?
Airforce story
If you like history and military series, this one is for you. I truly enjoyed the actors, some much older with great acting skills that made the story even more interesting. Lots of airplanes flying, and the main leads are great to watch. Some comedy, as expected from Zhu Ya Wen. He is always fun to watch. I didn't yet finish the series as I am taking a break from all the flying scenes.Was this review helpful to you?
Individual litigation stories
This series is a compilation of different litigation stories. Interesting that in a few episode we can see the development of each litigation case. The actors are well knows and wonderful to watch. I decided to take a break after episode 12 and to continue with another case series at a later date. If you enjoy lawyers stories this is very well done.Was this review helpful to you?
Political intrigue at it's best
This has become one of my favorite political period drama. It has amazing writing, witty humour, suspense romance and the most stressful intrigue. It is a bing watching C-drama at its best. It was aired in 2018, but one of the best I think. It can easily be compared to my favorites like: Joy of Life, Love like the Galaxy, Lost You Forever. I did not know the main lead, as he doesn't seem to continue making C-dramas for the last few years. The cast are very well known.I truly enjoyed every episodes. Of course 70 episodes is a lot. The first 60 episodes are a mixed of humour, with political drama and intrigue. The last 10 episodes is a long dramatic conclusion.

Amazingly funny
This is an amazing series. Every episode is intriguing and captivating, with humour. I had some difficulty following the political plot but still manage to enjoy every episode. All the characters are well developed and have their own lovely personalities.I love the humour, it is mixed in with the political plot and romantic story. True that 40 episodes is long and the last 10 episodes were more drama than a mix of comedy and drama.

Drama with a sensitive topic
This is a dramatic story with sensitive topics like the feeling of abandonment for a girl that can make a girl search for love in the wrong places. The consequences and family turmoil in this 2007 Chinese society. I usually like comedies or some drama with a little comedy. This is a very good series if you can handle the drama as an audience. I left as I find the topic difficult to watch for my own entertainment. Everyone's tastes are different and this can be a good series for others.Was this review helpful to you?
Great political intrigue
My goal to watch C-dramas is for entertainment, learning Mandarin and to laugh. This is a great political drama, not so much any comedy mixed into it. I miss that. I found it interesting but at the same time after 16 episodes I just found I needed a change to another show, I pick it up at a later date.Was this review helpful to you?
Who really did it?
This is a captivating drama. I binged watched it. Every episode was a cliff hanger and I just wanted to continue the next episode. It truly is a series of trying to figure out who is the mastermind of all the happenings. I like all the actors even the evil ones played their roles so well. It is worth rewatching as I probably would understand it better a second time.The negative comments I have are; that the music is much too loud, and too intense during dialogue, and I should have just ended watching after episode 25.

Sweet family comedy
Such a sweet family comedy with good values and learning emotional maturity. I enjoy watching when all ages are the characters. Parents including their teenagers are featured in this series. Only 16 episodes and that is just perfect.It is relaxing and even emotional at times to see some relationships grow and mature.

So much action at every episode
This is a great political drama. There is lots of suspense and action at every episode. The storyline is amazing and counted as one of my best so far. Not boring, no concubine drama, not too romantically inclined. It serves as a truly bing watching series.I can count on only a few amazing Chinese period dramas and this storyline is different from the others so a great series.

So well done, crime story
This is a very well done criminal story. Somewhat too scary and gory for me, I kept muting the sound as the music is so well done to stress the audience. I am not one for stressful series but all the actors are super. It is certainly worth watching if you like crime series. Simply genius.
One of the best period series. Every episode is a gem. Genius comedy all around. It only takes a smile, or a facial expression to make us laugh out loud. Just simply extraordinary writing. Lot's of fighting scenes
I have tried to watch this series twice, this 2nd time I got to episode 8. I know I have seen many episodes when I first started watching. I truly like the cast, the main lead and others. It just seems that there are too many fight scenes that make this series a little long for me. The story line is very good, political intrigue, spying, and of course some comedy from the actors.Was this review helpful to you?
Excellent Drama
This is a 62 episodes series. I first watch the main leads together in "Story of Yanxi Palace". It was wonderful and I was happy to see that they actually made 4 different series together. They are a great pair of actors. This drama is as excellent as "Yanxi Palace" There is not a boring episode. The first 20 or so episodes are "light drama" then for about 6 episodes the drama gets more serious. But then, it gets very interesting, so keep watching.Of course, 62 episodes is a lot and sometimes it seems that every episode seems to repeat the same theme, but it's still very interesting.

-Knock on the Happiness Door
-Legacy.
These are all 4 tv series with both of these actors.
Although there are great episodes, I stopped watching at episode 38 because every episode there is someone being killed and the drama just got to be too much.
