K-Drama
Suspense to it's maximum
This is a great series. There is lots of violence for vengeance so expect it. It's a good story and the music makes it so much more stressful to watch. I do find there is a lot of violence and the theme is vengeance. I enjoyed seeing new actors for me in this series. The suspense and political intrigue with twists and turns makes it a bing watching series. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful and emotional comedy
What a beautiful, sweet comedy. All age characters are endearing. This series is so beautifully made. Every episode is interesting to watch. Family dynamics are sweet, relationships are funny. There is no "drama" that makes us uncomfortable. Just a sweet series that makes us feel good.
I love the male main lead in this series as he acts out a funny character and this actor can be a very serious drama actor.
This series is so touching.

Historical period drama
This is a historical war drama. I love period dramas but this one seems to take on so many characters, I have a difficult time following the series of events. I truly like all the actors and that is why I tried to watch it twice. I am giving up this time at episode 8 as I prefer some comedy compared to war dramas. Was this review helpful to you?
Family saga
This series in a multiple families saga. Yes, it's a drama, not a comedy. It's long with 70 episodes and we need to take into consideration that is was filmed back in 2018, so not as much professional acting as C-dramas in later years.I liked watching this as I like the main leads. I have seen the main leads in different C-dramas. This one is a slow burn, so take this into consideration as you watch it. I think this is the kind of series that you can take a break while watching another one and then come back to it.
I ended up ending watching it at episode 11 because the drama just became too disfunctional.

Great Period Drama
This series has romance, political intrigue, sweet humour, and great acting from the cast. I usually like a series that can keep me watching for the next episode. This is one of these. I have my favorites, Love Like the Galaxy, Joy of Life 1 & 2, Lost You Forever, 1 & 2, Sword Snow Stride, Secret of Three Kindoms, Nirvana in Fire, and this is another one.I do have to mention that after many episodes this series becomes a drama with inside women jealousy and outside male jealousy that rather dampens the fun of it.

Excellent political period drama
This is an excellent political period drama. The actors are well known and the complete cast together are fun to watch.Of course there is a love storyline as in most C-dramas. I found a few episodes in the middle of the series difficult to watch as there was "sadistic" violence against women and children. Even without these troubling episodes, this series would have still been excellent and probably one of the best period drama of 2026.

Who's the bad guy?
Wow! even though this series is a little dated, (2019), the story is a "mild" psychological thriller. Who's the real bad guy, we just don't know. Every episode is filled with intrigue. Yes, because it is a little older, the fashion sense is dated but that's just fine. The fun of this intrigue, makes it a binge watching series to find out who is the good guy and who is the bad guy.For sure 58 episodes is a lot for any series, but I still finished it.

Too simple
This series first 4 episodes are kind of dramatic. Then there a scenes in the other episodes that are too immature for the mail leads who are in their early 40s and 50s. More character plots for young teenagers. The story is good, the music is good but I stopped watching by episode 9 as there was not enough intrigue, and mature material for these main leads that I usually truly enjoy watching. Was this review helpful to you?
What a breath of fresh air
This is a humorous period series. It has humour, intrigue after intrigue; political strategy in the imperial court. The writers did such a good job in every episode, to mix intrigue with humour. The music is also perfect, not to loud as many C-dramas can have very loud music. The composer did an amazing job with this music. It has many great well know actors that makes this a series not to miss. Was this review helpful to you?
Heart warming family comedy
What a refreshing heartwarming family comedy. With a multi-generational home environment, this is a pleasure to watch. I enjoyed the dynamics of both families. You need a box of tissues close by to watch this. It brings out good emotions, dealing with life issues not often discussed. I would recommend watching this series. Was this review helpful to you?
Stressful and intriguing
This is a surprisingly stressful and intriguing series. I did drop it reluctantly because of the theme. It is revenge for past history of child abuse and I found it too difficult to watch. Who's the bad guy is the question while I am watching. Trying to figure out what is really happening. It seems to be a spy series, but time will tell. The main leads are excellent but even the support cast are all well known. Was this review helpful to you?
Murder case investigations
This series is based on different murder cases and the investigation of each to find the truth. The actors are well known and do a perform well. I didn't finish the series only because this is not my type of entertainment. It is well done and can be well appreciated for others who enjoy plots with intrigue and investigation into "who did it".Was this review helpful to you?
Home design series
This series is about restarting a new life in one's hometown. It is a lot about struggles to start one's own business. Not much romance, no drama. Just a simple, relaxed story. I didn't finish it as the story was taking a long time to get to the point.I may continue watching later, but for now I switch to another series.
