I'm on episode 4 right now and I must say this is a struggle... I'm finding the ML very one dimensional. He doesn't show any flaw so I can't get attached to him at all. I'm not a fan of his acting either... I usually love slice of life dramas, but this one is boring to me. Does it get better story wise? What about the character development?
Agree with a lot you're saying. But this is kinda spoilery for people who haven't seen it. Let them judge for…
Is it? I don't talk about the plot or anything specific though, most of the things I talk about are already discussed elsewhere in the comments or in the tags. If you tell me which part you see as spoilery, I can edit it.
This was my first Thai Drama, as I usually am a K-Drama watcher and am not too fond of Chinese ones. Cried like a baby. I was surprised by all the skinship, and how much straight to the point the drama is. The main couple is such a healthy and adorable one. Skipped all the disturbing side couple parts though, except for TinCan. Wishing for a second season, and will definitely continue watching Thai Dramas.
+Beautiful and healthy main relationship +Great chemistry, they really looked like they were in love. +Ae's acting is so charming. I love how he smiles. +Tin is the ultimate boy. +Realistic approach (for the main leads only) +Lovable characters, best friend award goes to Pond. +Skinship was FIRE +Loved the enemy to lovers trope.
Neutral: I thought Pete's acting kinda sucked in the beginning, especially when he was crying, but it got better as the show went on.
-Pete seems bland at times. -Unsatisfying ending for TinCan, but I mean REALLY unsatisfying. -Unnecessary side relationships. -Uncomfortable scenes I did not watch -Main couple's love story got draggy because of lack of plot -Weird transitions between couple stories, felt like I was watching 4 different dramas at the same time, especially since they ditched the main couple in the last few episodes to develop a relationship that lead to nowhere. They should've focused on the main two couples and dropped the other ones.
I never binge watch anything, but the first 9 episodes were so cute and addictive that I stayed up all night watching them. I couldn't believe it... no misunderstandings? Honest characters? How come they go straight to the point and don't make everything complicated? Boy, I was not prepared for the trash they dropped on us for the last episodes. Everything about them were bad. Everything was superfluous and exaggerated. Very unsatisfying. Went from light, funny and sweet to complete garbage. Rom-coms should not try to be anything more than lighthearted.
I am having a really hard time rating this drama. Why? Because in all honesty, from episode 1-9 literally everything…
Oh my god, your comment is exactly how I feel about the drama!! Talk about ways to ruin a light and fun romance I think the flashbacks accounted for about half the two last episodes. I'm about to throw up.
I agree with Dada and Wang Joon but for a different reasons. I think they just did a bad job writing Young Goo's…
That's exactly how I feel but I felt too lazy to write it all down! But I completely agree with everything you said! What I like the most about Wang Joon and Dada's relationship is that it's realistic; it's also probably what a lot of people in the entertainment industry are going through right now (although less romanticized, probably). They love each other despite that.
I also can't like Jin Goo's acting in this, but that might be because of the way his character was written... I knew Young Goo could feel from the beginning because of the synopsis... but nothing, absolutely nothing made us think so in the drama until just now. Everytime he said stuff like "Do not care about my feelings, I was only made to give you love", it really rubbed me the wrong way. Anyways, good point!
Am I the only one rooting for Ma Wang Joon? I was not expecting it at all, but I'm just feeling their chemistry a lot more. It's also obvious Dada's in love with him...
Zero Nine is very cute though, I just don't like how he's being treated at the moment and that may be the reason why I don't want him to end up with Dada... I just feel like he deserves something more.
I'm not feeling Jin Goo's acting in this drama. I've always been VERY impressed by it so far, but I think he might just not suit the innocent robot vibe the character needs to have.
Okay, I don't mind love triangles when they don't imply stalkerish dudes who care more about owning the girl than making her happy. Unfortunately, this one has one of them, and it's really ruining the vibe of the drama.
The first episodes were beautiful, but the next ones got really frustrating, mainly because they stopped focusing on redemption and regaining faith in life so they could introduce some confusing, boring and completely unnecessary character with a very questionnable personality.
I really sound like I dislike the drama, but I actually don't. I love Yun Seo and Kim Dan, a lot of their scenes are heartbreakingly beautiful. The girl actually has a personality I love and have grown attached to, even though she's becoming less and less self-sufficient as time goes. Kim Dan is a true gift from the skies.
The pacing is a little weird at times and the love triangle as well as the meaningless childhood trope could've been avoided. Nevertheless, it looks promising. I hope the story will hang on and I pray for a happy ending!
If you haven't watched yet, you should try Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. I had felt the same about it, but…
Agreed! WFKBJ didn't leave me wanting more. In my opinion, FFMW deserves higher ratings than a lot of the best rated dramas, though I find myself thinking that a lot when I'm on MDL. .. FFMW just has a special place in my heart.
At this point I would've thought Seong Mo is the real culprit behind everything and that he's mentally broken…
I thought about that too but I don't think so. Kang Geun Taek said a few times that Seong Mo now had a lot of important people in his life (Lee Ahn, Jae-In, Jisoo), and I kind of want to believe that. For sure something bad's gonna happen but I'm pretty certain he really feels something for all of them.
Dropped at episode 14. The first few episodes were really good but I just can't seem to like the main characters. I find them really uninteresting. I'm the type of person who believes that silence means a thousand words but in this case, silence is just overly used in scenes where it should no be required. In the end, it just feels draggy and boring. The only characters I actually like are Hyeon Moo, the male lead's brother and Do Jin's mother.
Also, there are WAY too many flashbacks inserted anyhwere anytime, it really cuts the flow of the drama.
Last thing I did not like is the amount of unbelievable situations the leads went through. They just kept coming and I found it over the top and pretty unrealistic.
I'm not sure if I can complete this drama... I can't even get through the first episode because of how much it hurts. I can't imagine that such dirty things are actually happening. I have no empathy for any of the kids who did it and just watching this drama makes me want to flip a table because of all the hypocrisy.
It's really good, though. The first scene was breathtaking, in a really sad way.
Why do I have a feeling that Seong Mo might have planned something really, really bad? Is he gonna betray them? Or do they only want us to think that so they can amaze us with another plot twist?
And here I thought I was in for a fluffy ride... This is getting so intense, and I love it! Also, I live for Jae-In and Lee Ahn's relationship. They are so united.
This drama started off all cute and funny, can't believe how it turned out. I'm just happy the transition was well done.
I'm looking at you WWWSK...
My favorite dramas to watch when I'm stressed are Fight For My Way and Incomplete Life.

Sad it did not work for me.
