I think the lying and plotting this episode was necessary.
1. YSL doesnt want anything to do with FX. He wont even do his dream job if FX handed it to him. So he had to use this trick to make Shulang go back to research.
2. FX deliberately left his computer with Shulang so that whatever he was planning to do he can do it.
Another thing is YSL already has the files that can end FX with him but he still hasnt used it. They are both in a limbo. Whatever FX is doing right now I can forgive it coz he is doing it for Shulang and not for selfish reason.
