started this immediately after finishing the worst of evil not knowing the cast list and was shocked seeing so many of the cast from worst of evil also in this

I went through this whole series praising it just for the last 2 episodes to completely frustrate me. I had to sit with this weighing on my brain for days before I could finally let it settle and understand the intent behind the writing. That's just how invested in these characters I was. Even tho I don't agree with what they did I understand the value of why it was done. This show deserves all the praise that it recieved and I should've started it A LOT sooner.

Final Thoughts Slight Spoilers

First, this was really good. I enjoyed the cast, production, OST, & the story. The story threw me for a loop because I wasn't expecting action AT ALL. I thought it would mainly take place in court but those scenes were executed way better than I originally would've expected. Although I liked it I shared the same sentiment of others where I wasn't a fan of them adding romance to the plot. imo the romance made the plot really predictable, and I was able to guess so many reveals and how the story would turn out like I was in the room with the writers, but predicable doesn't mean it was "bad".

Where this story needed work is it needed to go more in depth about hell and its lore because a lot of info we get about demons seems to contradict itself. Especially how it seems so many viewers(myself included) were confused about what happened with the original Kang Bit Na as well as their abilities. Who can do what, why do they only use powers if or when it benefits them ECT.

There were quite a few scenes that they would basically retcon and re-show with added context. Basically trying to confuse you by intentionally leaving out info but as I said before the story becomes so predictable you know how the scene will happen so when you get the "reveal" it seems so poorly structured. Still a solid watch I'd probably give a rating of 6.5-7.5

I'm Curious as to if Demon are created/born into hell or if they're sinners turned demon because to me currently on episode 9 about to be episode 10 it makes no sense they aren't "allowed" to feel emotions but they literally still operate on emotion while in hell. That whole part of the plot makes no sense because both in hell and on earth Mando completely sucks being a demon and by their own rules he should've been "killed"ages ago even tho they don't specifically state demons who feel emotions are killed they but will "Suffer a fate worse than death"

The irony of the conclusion of the case for episode 6 is funny. So far after every case the victims are always happy with the criminals death. Which goes against Da On's code of having them tried under the law. Episode 6 is the first time the victims mom wanted them to beg for forgiveness and arrested, but what's funny is in her lifetime she would have NEVER seen that conclusion. They would've never seen him repent and beg for forgiveness unless Kang Bit na did what she did. So even tho she wanted Da On's process she wouldn't have gotten her outcome without Kang Bit na's method

Right now I'm half and half on Kang BIt na method. I have no sympathy for the criminals being tortured and murdered but I hate that the victims have to keep being victims until that result.

I don't dislike Da On's method but the law isn't perfect and is corrupt especially in Korea where so many victims are the ones who are punished for trying to use the law. Which is why the hindrance of his character can be annoying.

really good series with a crazy stacked cast. I can appreciate the sentiment of the message even tho I dont fully agree. As I said in part 1 I still feel like death was an asshole & a big take away from what she was trying to prove is everything was pointless. so many contradictions on deaths part had him playing a losing game where death could change the rules whenever they wanted. Like Ji Su said death was just cruel

I'm committed to see how this all ends but by the end of episode 3 and 4 I'm convinced death has no real "lesson" & that she's just an asshole honestly. So many of the lessons just feel like they contradict each other & he's just destined to die or this is just gonna turn him into death by the end. This show has gripped my attention but I feel like there's a few glossed over plot holes that i'll hold off to see if they're addressed by the end in part 2, but so far it's REALLY GOOD

Just finished and this show has a real interesting way of having to care about characters. So many characters I found annoying as much as I didn't want to I ended up supporting in the end. I ended up getting a headache during the last 3 episodes from lack of sleep and getting all emotional. My favorite part of this series was the group of soldiers going to SK and seeing the massive culture shock.

9 episodes in and i'm so lost between this marriage between Ri and Seo Dan. For an arranged marriage nothing about it seems to benefit Mr Ri or his family and its completely one sided for Seo Dan because only her side wants it

ngl I have the meanest crush on this woman. Every time I randomly start a series and she pops up I get so excited. She def deserves more lead roles because her acting is amazing and so far I've never seen her in a role where she didnt deliver. Sometimes I enjoyed her character more than the leads

I went into this thinking it was a TV series so as it was going on I was curious to see what direction it was headed. At the end I was looking for the next episode button only to realize it was a movie which ultimately disappointed me more than anything since I was kind of expecting a lot more from the narrative going forward. Not terrible but not great, interesting concept that I felt needed expanding.

This show was so enjoyable to watch. I guessed who big mouse was but ngl the show had me second guessing myself a few times. The 2 main things that disappointed me was the lack of consequence for Mi Ho and Hye Jin's deaths. For characters who held so much importance to the story you'd think the consequence for their deaths would hold more weight, but at the end they felt like they were tossed aside. The conclusion felt so lazy to me because they just let Choi "Win" just to say fuck it lets just kill him the end.

Still a GREAT series but that last episode needs a re write

I was right in my initial sentiment that this story definitely could've been wrapped up in 10 to 12 episodes. The last 4 to 6 episodes weren't needed but they weren't bad episodes either so I don't think they deserved such low ratings. overall the series was good with pacing issues and last thing I'll say is justice for my man Seo

I've been wanting to start this series for a long time now but I kept putting it off because sometimes I just don't have the energy/patience to sit through 12+ episodes of a show over an hour long.

This show isn't a slow burn but like I said earlier by episode 4 & 5 is when it really enters its flow state. By the time I got to like episode 7 it hit me this story needs to reach a conclusion by episode 10 or 12 at MAX.

I'm currently starting episode 9 & my sentiment is still the same. Right now I'm really enjoying this series but the fact that I know there's 7 episodes left makes me feel like the pacing is going to take a massive hit where is what I think is the cause for the low ratings for the rest of the episodes.

Ngl I low-key felt bad for So Ra in one episode just to IMMEDIATELY take it back the next lmao the series really starts to pick up by episode 4 & right now I'm hooked. The low ratings for the later episodes have me worried but as always I'll form my own opinions when I get to them.

No, I didn't have any expectations on what type of series this was. I'm responding to the comments I've seen saying they expected one thing saying it was another. I just wanted to see what the first episode was about
