That's his plan to make her own choice. Like people wanna kill you now u wanna run or defend.
him being somewhat transparent doesn't take away her ability to make a choice because whether she ran or not people were still after her. All he did was put her at risk because if it wasn't for plot she would've died 5 times over due to her being a deer caught in headlights. He may have had good intentions but he's an idiot and just used her as bait. we'll see if my opinion of him changes in s2 but I doubt it will.
I said this back in episode 2 or 3 I think the uncle made a very moronic choice not telling his niece of the potential threats to her life AT LEAST by the age of 16. I'm not saying he had to tell her everything about the business but he could've at least warned her of potential threats and been transparent about her training. Her entire life got uprooted and she's completely in the dark even in her 20's & she's naive as hell & that's pretty effed up. I'm going into the last episode and my opinion hasn't changed, If anything I think he just makes terrible decisions all around
Finally to episode 15 so I'm nearly done with season one. Random thought just popped into my head but honestly…
I'd say don't skip personally. I believe I saw a comment that said this is a series that picks up in the later half and after finishing it I whole heartily agree. The beginning was def frustrating to get through because so many characters annoyed the HELL outta me, but then it low key became addicting. The main reason why s1 is important is not only the introduction of the cast since all the seasons ARE connected but what motivates them and their core values on why they do what they do, their relationships which are kind of what drives the narrative, and also the cameos just won't make sense you'll just be lost when certain characters pop up in later seasons

There's only 20 episodes listed on here, but there's actually 21 episodes on Netflix. Good episode but the ending was very weird and abrupt. especially considering the start of s2 (I'm probably not even 5 mins in) seems to have nothing to do with season 1
Starting this only because of Lee Sung Kyung, but apparently her character doesn't show up until season 2. This…
Finally to episode 15 so I'm nearly done with season one. Random thought just popped into my head but honestly I feel like naming this series Teacher Kim would've been a way better idea than Dr Romantic
Honestly the romance is a bit all over the place but it isn't over done and runs its course at a decent pace. At no point of me watching did I feel like "This is dragging" or "this character liking this character is annoying" it balanced out pretty well imo. and I'm actually hyper critical when it comes to those things cause I hate feeling like my time is wasted, which I feel happens a lot in Romance dramas
Honestly Hong Jin Kyung and Park Myung Soo were comedy together during the fire station section. Mad respect to the cast because the stress of being in the kitchen is no joke, but for a group of individuals who aren't trained chefs they they really well. So I know the Staff enjoyed being treated and the celebs felt their appreciation
The very first drama I saw her involved in was The Trunk which I watched earlier this year in I think February. I just started Dr Romantic and You are my Spring & for the life of me I couldn't tell it was her. I can't put my finger on it but she looks really different (not complaining nor is it a bad thing) It just keeps throwing me off because i'm actually really good at remembering faces and voices
Yeah it's seem like they are trying romance section in the story as Geun dae wasn't in the webtoon, at first it…
alright I knew I wasn't tripping. unfortunately I just found out this morning the webtoon got canceled 2 years ago which sucks cause I wanted to read a few chapters
i see there is 'sex' tag in netflix, does it show explicitly the deed numerous times? planning to watch with parents…
Slight spoiler *not really* but in the webtoon If I remember correctly there was a part of the story about trafficking but I don't remember anything bad or graphic being shown. So it tackles heavy topics but its still pretty PG so you'll be good
for anyone who has read the webtoon it seems like they're tryna set up a relationship between Han Rim and Geun Dae in ep 5. I got pretty far in the webtoon back when it first came out but that was YEARS ago so of course my memory isn't all there. Was that always a thing? because it seems like a new concept they added because I don't even remember a third member on their team outside the ERPB chairman
I just finished this series & I want to be constructive but I feel like this will be a rant more than anything. Overall this isn't a bad drama. I really enjoyed most of it until it started losing momentum around episode 10. By this point they wanted to throw in unnecessary conflict between the 2 leads only for it to be "resolved" with a simple conversation which ultimately was just a waste of the viewers time. I see a lot of comments on the FL saying she's selfish & I disagree. She's more self sabotaging than anything (honestly all the sisters are) From episode 1 up until the finale we don't get a single scene of the FL & her mom bonding, but we constantly see her mom taking in other kids & caring for them. Which also ended up being the reason her father died. She didn't want to hog all her mom's attention from the adopted kids, but she just also wanted to be acknowledged. They even doubled down on this point during the wake when all the adopted siblings had more memories with the mom than the FL did.
During the end when She decides to end things with the ML she only did so because she wanted him to live out his life the way he wanted instead of feeling like he had an obligation to be with her because of all the past promises he kept holding onto. I agree with what she was trying to do but I DISAGREE with HOW she did it. They both deeply cared for each other & they didn't need to be apart for that to happen. That's both time they wasted being apart & again more of our time was wasted as viewers to see a conclusion that could've been focused on more development.
The BIGGEST part of this drama that irked me the most was the 2nd lead primarily the President, & because of that I'm not watching the spin off even tho I think Lee Sang Yi is a really dope actor. I hate that I disliked his character so much in this. I've seen so many people calling the FL selfish but honestly the most selfish character is the President. His character alone had such a negative effect on so many characters & the crazy part is he didn't/BARELY apologize for his actions in all the drama he caused.
*First he gets upset because his mom is reading erotic novels so he constantly spams hate to the traumatized author because he has mommy & daddy issues WHICH STILL NEVER GOT RESOLVED.
*He then gets his secretary to also send hate. The same secretary hated working for him & kept begging for a transfer & also had feelings for the 2nd FL lead who had feelings for him back, but that ship drowned because the president was so petty.
*Takes out his anger on the ML & FL costing them their jobs and interfering in their relationship while being a hypocrite saying the FL shouldn't interfere with his relationship with her sister
*Demotes the FL giving the project she worked hard for to her cheating ex giving him the credit for all her work for the SECOND time & even tho he has the power to STILL never gave her the position back
*Had the audacity to see the ML off at the airport when he was the one who threatened to ruin their lives if the ML stayed in Korea. AND STILL NEVER GAVE A SINGLE APOLOGY FOR ANY OF IT!!! Except for the 2nd FL & that's primarily cause she was during his ass & he needed her to keep his position/inheritance.
so y'all can be quick to forgive him because of a few cute romance scenes but imo him and his parents are the worst characters in this series, & it's crazy because both him and his mom are victims but the victim card only goes so far when you don't do anything and start involving innocent people in your petty BS...
Seemed like a very interesting show but 5 minutes of hearing that laugh track and I thought I would lose my mind its mad annoying. So this will have to be a miss for me which is a shame cause I Rock with the diverse cast
At first considering how long ago this series came out & the premise of the ghosts (Sun Ae's character) I went into this with low to mid expectations & expected it to be a pretty cringe/cheesy story. Like i said i saw Park Bo Young & Shin Hae Sun on the cast list got excited & expected them to hard carry, But man i was wrong. The entire cast did their thing & i binged the series faster than i thought i would. A decent balance of Romance, mystery, & comedy to keep you engaged.
There's a lot of good but it isn't perfect. I wont go into spoilers but the series is pretty predictable I basically figured out the whole plot & exactly how situations would turn out fairly easily. i hoped i would be wrong & they threw in some plot twists to throw me off but unfortunately they didn't. There are a few plot holes that bugged me & questionable writing choices i just had to shrug off for the sake of continuing the story, & the solution for the antagonist was anticlimactic as hell where i just looked at me screen and asked "is that it?"
Overall it's a solid watch if you're looking for something quick and simple to enjoy.
