The reason I enjoyed "Extraordinary You" so much was because of Hye Yoon and she is the reason I gravitated towards "Lovely Runner". She made both characters come to life! No one, not a single other actress would have done a better job in these roles.

Do Ra isn't at all interested in the SML. She has rejected him multiple times and he has come onto her too strong time and again. He is vindictive because Do Ra's mom led him on but he is also delusional thinking that he can force her to love him. He is someone who plotted Do Ra's downfall so she has no option but to turn to him. Her mother has gambled away everything and they are in debt with no way to pay it all off. In my opinion, she should just cut off her mother and let her deal with all the penalties. But she isn't going to do that, instead she will break up with poor Dae Chung, who was just starting to fall in love with her. It is messed up. Things aren't looking good for them. Dae Chung is such a good guy, it sucks.

I have only watched this one time. The first episode so damn great, it was one of the first shows I watched. It makes you want to fall in love. The leads have such explosive chemistry! But that's where it ends for me, the drama did not live up to the potential. Everything after that is what I avoid in dramas. I thought I would gush over this beautiful quick bite once I reached the end, I was too hopeful and taken in by the beautiful chemistry between the two! I did sit through all the 49 episodes. I watched the whole thing and understood the sacrifice. It did not have to be that extreme, most of it was not at all necessary. I was invested in their story and cried my heart out at all those heartbreaking moments, the actors were that good at portraying these characters. But that doesn't mean, I want to turn a blind eye to all the things that went wrong. Its okay to have differing opinions. I did like Bai Ju as a character, he is very complex. That's all. Peace out.

I had similar thoughts about the ending. That was one way to go or they could have at least had the modern day version of her could go back in time and stay with Joseon Tae Ha. Since there was time travel involved, it didn't seem like that big of a stretch. With the way the story unraveled that seemed more feasible.
The ending was too bittersweet for me.
