Tan Jian Ci is my absolute favorite actor but he bored me to death with the 'I love your voice', just give up on modern dramas, NO ONE AT THE WEST interested of your weird, inhuman society where the cowards wouldn't dare to even to show a blank white paper and when the cowards betraying a good actor with guts who dared to show.

Do you want satisfy western people, you can't, for a short time maybe, but only because we are sick of the level of sickness of Hollywood (pedo, sadistic, horror, etc), hence we turned to the asian-film market but there is a limit of idiotism and using idols who can't act, and using AI written shit scripts which works only for the injected and degraded Internet of Bodies - not humans any more - people. If you still have a bit of mind, watch a movie, Idiocracy - it was a documentary and you will feel it familiar.

I don't understand the low rating. As about non-sense, I haven't seen a Chinese drama without complete nonsense plot - but a sort of accepted it.
As the rest, it is refreshing, I mean, I have no time to watch 10 episodes with one sitting, hence I really like its intense, that it gives emotions in a short time but wasting my time on over-stretched boring emotional parts (all look like fake if it is a Chinese drama, for me it gives nothing plus but a minus)
So far - and because I was on a holiday, missing a week time, now I managed to watch 11 eps, and really liked them. They are different, true, but I can't count how much Chinese dramas I dropped before the final 4-2 episodes. I just felt being fed up, not satisfying, no intense, over-stretched emotional nothing, bad ending - somehow EMPTY?
Many wrote they liked the butcher-girl's drama, it was not bad, but still full with non-sense and over-stretching boring parts.

Emotions are intense. Brain in the drama? You don't want it, you give a 10-9 score to absolute rubbish with good looking idols in it. So what is your problem this time? Yeah, plot-holes, since when you notice it? As in the past giving 10 to dramas with idols it didn't bother you at all. It is ok, with 60--90 IQ that's the normal reaction I guess.

Not a problem to me as I don't use mobile, I mean we are a sort of pushed to use for identifications like with the bank, but otherwise being badly EMF sensitive, I keep it in flight mode and in the micro (Faraday), I use my laptop only and the net in our house is wired. :) Zero wifi, zero "smart stuff", at the beginning of 2020 when we understood what was going on, we downgraded, binned the wifi, stopped to use mobiles and so on, hence I am ignorant about these new stuffs. I hope you are wrong. I also hate AI, I admit it can be used sometimes for useful stuff or entertaining (e.g. cat podcast on YT), but till it is just the intro I don't mind. However I don't want a world where real living actors are not used any longer or replaced. AI is overhyped and a convenient tool to avoid blaming someone when it is about decision making seriously affecting people' life.

Maybe a bit early to say after just 2 but it was not a mess, as it is a kind of intense, I sometimes had to stop to have the time to read or read back on who-is-who but it all made sense to me. In fact I enjoy this short drama like spacing, no boring long parts full with filler characters to bore me.

Or drawings, paintings, cut-out 2D figures, I agree with you, as long as the main parts are real with real actors I don't mind either. Back then there was another republican? area drama, City of Streamer, I guess its intro was also AI (or similar) and it was one of the best intros I've ever seen, check it out, was a perfect match to the series what I liked a lot.

I sadly didn't have time for more than 2 but I liked it, fast spaced. Like that area's costumes and mood, buildings (old world) and the story started being interesting without watching 5 eps just to start to be.

Yes, as far as I know - but my knowledge is based on other series and movies - they had private armies, they were called war-lords or similar but hopefully someone more educated on history could tell.

I could understand her, being lonely can cause to be over-helpful, over emphatic, overly kind and 'sticky' to people who were kind to her even if they belong to the ex., etc. If you happened to be bored next time, maybe try to read the book tiled Eneagram, personality 2, the helper.

The exact opposite, the worst so far and I watched (or tried to watch) a couple of ones. One and Ony - yes, The Legends - yes, Jadewind - yes, Story of the Kunning Palace - YES, for me Till the End of the Moon also failed because of the nonsense parts, Moonlight Mystic, I carried on as liked the director a lot but honestly the second leads kept that going (for me at least as the choice of actor for ML was a mistake), that other one (title escapes me) where se acted a cute innocent whatever with that big-eyed white haired guy - dropped, was boring, now this one... I so hope she'll be more lucky next time. And Cheng Lei, too.
Why oh why Chinese dramas getting more and more shallow? Same with Koreans.

Rather 2.5, originally I gave it 4 and dropped around the 15th then I had nothing to watch and tried again, till 20th, then gave up completely.
The most boring drama ever. It was totally screwed, boring design, boring surroundings, absolutely flat and boring dialogues which caused that the characters had no personalities. Tons of non-sense. Whoever wrote it, seriously in lack of intelligence, because of it or to disguise it it was heavily packed it with non-sense elements in every 5 minutes or so. The characters were lifeless and flat and the added "spice" like being insane didn't help but the opposite. In other Chinese dramas where at least the design (costumes) were beautiful, if there were boring parts at least I could admire that beauty while waiting for more exciting parts, I don't like skipping parts as prefer to understand the whole plot.
Bai Lu is not too successful nowadays when choosing dramas. Back then she had some very decent ones but nowadays only Jadewind reached the level of being good enough to watch. I also didn't like the last 2 of Cheng Lei (sadly, he also has such a talent).
The person who wrote the script - shouldn't be allowed to write anything, ever, absolutely unfit to be a writer.
With every year the level, quality of Chinese dramas drops more and more. I am worried, it is because they try to keep up with the audience intelligence' level?
