Watch it for Ke Yu!
The first half of this show was seriously addictive. It's like the male version of Hidden Love - I just always enjoy watching someone have secret feelings hahaha.
Zhou Keyu really brought out the contrast between his younger vs. older versions. I feel this should be considered one of his career highlights because of how well it showcased his range. He really brought out the whole boy-to-man transition without needing to be overly cute/childish in the first half (which is a criticism a lot of people have about Zhao Lusi in HL).
That said, something changed drastically in the latter half. It's like all the life was sucked out of the story. My theory is that it was just way too long. It may have been better with 24 episodes. The 2nd couple didn't add much to the story, so that would have been an easy plotline to cut.
