In a show full of ridiculous moments, the most ridiculous has to be a lobby manager in a 5-star hotel walking around half the day in torn pantyhose with no care in the world... 🤣
That wasn’t the end. A second season has already been confirmed.
Oh yeah, that news was announced months ago. Nonetheless, it was still a disappointing second half for me. I had big problems with the pacing, and the humor felt like it regressed.
I loved this show so much!! but the finale was a disappointment. It changed the tone of the show a bit too much for my liking. Otherwise, this is one of the best modern romantic dramas imo, even though I understand why it's not many people's taste
this chilli challenge is a humiliation ritual, my god. so painful to watch 😩😩 as an introvert, this is the WORST way to welcome them into a group where they're already self conscious
I love the chemistry and tension between the the main lead Can anyone suggest me a similar kind of drama? With…
Have you watched Hold A Court Now? Beyond the Bar is one of my favorite dramas of all time, but HACN felt similar enough and I ended up really loving it
I think if we have a few more episodes of her being trodden on and allowing it, I'll be fast forwarding through…
I caught that as well! I think the mean one might actually be starting to respect her (even if she'd never admit it out loud, haha.) I'm really disappointed by that youngest woman who I thought would be a real friend.
well, yes. that's true for any story, Chinese or not. the author writes their story based on how they want the…
ooh, I get what you're saying. yes, it does feel tiring when you know they're just going to reuse the same plot points in each drama. I kind of feel the same about some xianxia - I get a bit tired of having to do the whole "3 lifetimes" arc.
I kind of love it in modern romance for some reason cause I'm messed up and I love a good breakup. I get bored watching people be happy for too long; give me angst and yearning. 🤣

aww, really? I looooove the hotel aspect. I think I just really love workplace romance dramas, because between this and Hold A Court Now which just ended, I'm having so much fun.
Miyu is clearly going to have a huge comeback, but it's just done in such a soap opera-ish way. Like, there has to be something bad happening in every single episode. I'm not a huge fan of the over-the-top melodramatic kind of storytelling, but other than that it's a really good show. And the actors are killing it.
the break up is understandable? no, they find an understandable reason to force 'break up' trope. the 'break up'…
well, yes. that's true for any story, Chinese or not. the author writes their story based on how they want the plot to go. we can only evaluate it based on whether it feels organic and true to the characters, which it does for HACN.
I just can't keep feeling sorry for Miyu because she keeps putting herself in this position. At this point, I have to just conclude she's truly okay with everyone walking all over her, even her staff. It makes her life harder, but she's okay with it as long as it avoids conflict.
Until it goes too far and she finally snaps. But as for now, I'm struggling to see her as a victim. This is just how she prefers to run her life.
I really wanted to like this drama but the FL being a doormat is already making my blood boil; it's her house…
hahaha yeah, ep1 was tough to get through cause everyone, including Miyu, is annoying. I mean, her husband literally says he doesn't like when her sister's family comes over, and then 5 minutes later she's wondering why he doesn't want to spend the night at their house. He might be a POS, but she's a sucky wife as well.
… and according to me they should have ended the drama where the two broke up and started working towards their…
I think this last arc is still quite meaningful. An important part of achieving your dreams is realizing some of them don't fit the person you are anymore.
