He divorced the first wife because the mother in law got thrown into jail for confronting the lying woman. She…
Yes. It shows in the beginning he was at a company event and had too much to drink. She got him/escorted him into the car. He was nearly passed out but she was very much aware and she took advantage of that. Imagine if the roles were reversed.
Wtching this just to kill time coz i still hv withdrawal syndrome and cdrama hngover from moonlight mystique...…
Same. Under the guise of protecting him, she lies for over half the series. I think it’s insulting his intelligence and insight, like he can’t see the big picture. This has made it a bit unappealing. I love a good honest and united team not the self sacrificing mess where you hurt someone to so call help them, especially when their smarter and stronger.
It was very emotional. I really wanted to hate Umi's mom for emphasising on personal choice while leaving non…
My point exactly. It was definitely set to show the struggles of women but also liberate them at the same time. Everyone’s failing to see how it also crippled the men. This guy was an introvert and he appeared really quiet and shy. The FL was definitely dominant and forced him to sign. I feel that it’s like that even today, some men don’t have a say, so many focus on the women and their choice and whether not to give birth, but no one really focuses on the men. Believe it or not there are men that want their kids, but have to respect the choice of women.
Good drama but sad. I hate how the ML was looked down upon. The FL clearly knew who she was dating, and the type of personality he had. He was clearly shy and introverted, but appeared very caring. The birthmother clearly had a stronger personality and made him sign a paper for a procedure, Then later says she didn’t want to keep surrendering to him or some mess, then he gets blamed for everything without even knowing what was actually happening. It was all hid from him. Even though he was talking about his ex with his current girlfriend, everyone appears to forget that he was also grieving. the fact that she suffered alone made him feel guilty. The fact that he signed the paper made him feel guilty. The fact that he had a child that didn’t know him scared him. But I guess because it’s addresses female things it’s the guys fault.
This woman made a choice to give birth secretly and not tell the father. Tragedy strikes, and everything falls on him. Not only is he an instant parent, but he carries a burden of guilt. I don’t blame the girlfriend for ending it but this also speaks about her, just like there are men that walk away from women that have children, they are women that walk away from men that have children.
To me FL was villian you might be talking about SFL
I considered the one destroying the second lead. This bothered me because no one really addressed how this guy was essentially a rape victim. He felt terrible and only agreed to divorce after the SFL threatened to have the FL mom incarcerated. He was victimized and sacrificed his own happiness. Even the dad knew the 2FL was toxic. He literally said “ my son was willing to walk away from it all because he loved this woman. The fact that you were able to destroy them means you’re toxic.”
Really? I only watch him in Boss and Me before. But yes, I noticed that. I'd been waiting for him to say sorry…
Agreed, he’s good but his character is infamous for being a poor communicator. He just stares when his partner gets upset, never explains himself but lets others do it for him.
Anyone else notice that the ML never apologizes in any shows that he’s in. If he does, it’s usually indirect. For me, he has earned the title of Mr. arrogant because of it. He usually does stuff and never explains or admiit that he’s wrong. He tries to justify it with love, but never owns up to stuff.
I was hoping this was the case. It seems like up to episode 5, everybody likes someone else.
I couldn’t get past the fact that she stole his private letter and burned it, got him eliminated from going to school and constantly set him up even after he lets things go. This wasn’t cute.
