Lu Zhao Hua (Gu Xiao Man), Liu Yu Han (Zuo An) and Xie Zhi Xun (Shen Chen Yang) were my reasons to smile when watching this drama.
LZH is the most adorable actress I have watched in a long while. I enjoyed every facial express (especially her cute pouts), every small gesture and every time to threatened to hit Zhan Yue. When she became the all powerful kickboxer around Zhan Yue and the complete 180 she would make whenever Zuo An was around made me enjoy her acting. She was A JOY to watch.
Then there was LYH and XZX as love rivals. Although Liu Yun Jun (Zhan Yue) was also part of that love square, he annoyed the life out of me. Which could attest to his acting skills or my hatred for annoying male second leads, but it probably the former. Zuo An was cold at first, then he began to thaw once he got to know (and fall deeper in love) with Gu Xiao Man. Then there was Shen Chen Yang whose character was very predictable, but was portrayed so well, I did not care how clichéd his storyline was. XZX's habit of saying, "Gu Xiao Man" with his chin jutting out (ʃƪ^3^)(ʃƪ^3^)(ʃƪ^3^)*sigh*
I (almost) don't want to watch their other dramas because I would hate to ruin the wonderful image in my mind (and heart).
I remember watching this during my early stages of being a Asian drama addict (≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)(≧▽≦) I only knew Park Hae Jin (from CITT) and Lee Jong Suk (from W) and LITERALLY no one else.
Now that I have fallen in love with kpop as well, I'm here on some, "BUT ISN'T THAT KAI FROM EXO" (≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)(≧▽≦). Anyway.
This was an ad. A colossal ad. With eye candy. I think it's best not to take it too seriously. The low rating astonishes me. I've watched worse, full length dramas that could not deliver the kind of (floabw) 'power' 7FK's.
Y'all need to calm down with these bad reviews, but then again, to each their own.
The first episode was okay. The second was also okay.I still like Shen Yue's natural acting, Jerry Yan is growing…
Although, that accidental kiss scene at the end of Ep2 was so adorable. It reminded me of Just My Luck when she said after that, their lives (/luck?) changed.
The first episode was okay. The second was also okay.
I still like Shen Yue's natural acting, Jerry Yan is growing on me and everyone else is doing their absolute best. No doubt about that.
But I have seen too many Asian series to find this plot exciting. If I watch it at 1.5x the speed, I can get through it. *Fingers crossed it gets better*
Not really into Bae Soo Bong right now.. They need to make it to where here actions are more justified, but hopefully…
I used to like Bae, then they ruined her character. I had hoped the Director and Choi would have gotten together, They had more chemistry in those few minutes in episode 16 then Choi and Lee did in the ENTIRE drama.
"I totally recommend this series if you like binge-watching Asian dramas, enjoy comedy or are looking for something light to watch."
This is definitely what I need right now. Thank you for this amazing article. I have had this series on my Watchlist for months and now I have motivation to delve into this world ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
Spoilers for the episodes. Will be updated as I watch the episodes.
Episodes 1 & 2:
Good start.
Their romance will start based on a lie on her part. I can already see the breakup coming.
Her voice is so beautiful.
Her assistant director friend was so sweet to plan that little damsel in distress situation for her (≧▽≦)
Oh my gosh, Kim Kyung Nam is in this episode!!!!!! I hope I see more of him. He should just be the police officer to handle anything police related.
Okay, so time stops when she is near him and counts upward when they touch..... My theory: She is taking time away from him.
Episode 3: So, love makes her clock count up. Hhhhmmmm, this makes me believe that his is going downward.
Episode 4 & 5:
I do not know how to fee about the love triangle between Bae, Lee and Choi. I like Bae's character. She started off unproblematic, very helpful and fashionable. Now, she is just fashionable I thought she was going to fall in love with the Chinese Investor (he seemed very interested in her). They would have made a lovely couple. Now, she has turned into the clichéd SFL who will do anything to keep 'her man'. Goodness.
Lee and Choi..... Hhhhmmmmmm. Their relationship.... Hhhhmmmmmm. I do not feel the chemistry. When they were dancing, it felt awkward to watch. That kiss was lackluster. Hhhhmmmmmm. I did not even get emotional when he got stabbed/sliced/whatever'd with that knife.
They are playing their characters well (to the best of their ability).
Lady Oh can see the lifespans as well. Interesting.
Episode 6:
Has anyone ever noticed that Lee Sung Kyung's left eye is larger than her right?????? Why I am saying this is because I am more interested in her eyes than the crocodile tears coming out of them (insert bus scene here).
Her best friend and her brother will get together. Can't say I didn't see it coming (≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)
I am assuming this is his ex.
If he stops loving her, her clock will still run out. Goodness.
Episode 7:
"I don't need an understudy." GIRL, NO ONE ASKED YOU. This is the only time I feel ecstatic over Director Jo's attitude (*^3^)/~♡
Director Bae is so evil.
Episode 8:
I TOLD Y'ALL SHE WAS TAKING TIME FROM HIM (⌐■-■) Now we wait for their breakup over a misunderstanding and someone not telling the truth.
Episode 9-14:
I think this is when the drama went south.
These were the most boringly predictable episodes I have ever watched. I try (so very hard) not to label a drama as 'boring', but there is no other word for it. If i thought their chemistry was non-existent in the previous episodes, it definitely went out the window during these episodes. *************************sigh ************************* What a complete waste of my time. As much as I love Lee Sung Kyung, she cannot excuse this plain story.
How do they not answer these questions: Why can she see the clocks? Why can Lady Oh see the clocks? Did her grandmother see them too?
I'm not asking for an in-depth, mathematical analysis with figures, graphs and freaking references, I just need so kind of valid explanation. THIS IS ALL MAKE BELIEVE. MAKE. BELIEVE.
May this please just end already. She is done with the show. D. Bae has given up on P. Lee 9and hopefully will spend time focusing on her mental health). Yuna has left. What more do they want to throw at us?????
