Classic webtoon fans who's hating on the series because they can't accept that it's actually good despite not…
Again, I'm going to ask you, are you a part of the LGBTQ+ community in any way? Because you sound like one of those straight girls who claim they are an ally but loves to speak over actual LGBTQ+ people. Again the acting wasn't bad, it is actually very funny, it just wasn't YOUR taste. And based on what you just replied, I can also say that you are very BIASED, because you already hate Nut to begin with. Also how did you know Nut is self-centered? Do you know him personally by any chance? Or did you just assume that basing on what you see online, and your own projection? Nut is an openly LGBTQ+ actor and we are glad that he, an actual LGBTQ+ person gets to play an iconic LGBTQ+ character. That's a huge leap for the community in the Thai BL industry.
But you know what? I don't even care if you hate the series. I don't even care if you hate the acting. But you don't just get to be a self righteous dick, and accuse the series of betraying the LGBTQ+ community, while subsequently insulting an openly LGBTQ actor that you don't even know personally.
If you really do care about the LGBTQ+ community, then maybe try to not be a disrespectful prick towards the people in said community.
Damn are you for real π this is the best funny bl series I've watched.
Question, are you part of the LGBTQ+ community in any way possible? Because for a lot of us, we are happy with this series. Because not only are feminine gays/fem presenting non-binary people/kathoey/transpeople are finally being represented as a lead character in a BL, an openly LGBTQ+ person is also the actor of said character. That was a leap, compared to the other series that starred gay for pay homophobic actors. Also, what overdone comedy? Just because it's not your taste, doesn't mean, it's bad or overdone, that's a YOU problem, not the series'. You just don't like it, you don't have to do mental gymnastics, and make up BS excuses like; "It's an insult to the LGBTQ+ community" or it has bad acting, because we all know both are false, just to justify your dislike for it. It just simply WASN'T YOUR TASTE.
π΄π€ππ sadly for me it is horrible representation and very stereotypical series and not the best acting…
Classic webtoon fans who's hating on the series because they can't accept that it's actually good despite not being 1 to 1 to the webtoon. You've been hating the production and the actors since last year. You guys have also been bullying the actors since last year. Aren't you guys getting tired? It's not enough that y'all have been flood voting the series with 1 stars on iQiyi, you have to take your negativity here too.
Someone spoil me for the webtoon does Prince go back to their own time? Or does she stay in the past? o:
All I'm going to say is that I hope they don't follow the ending of the 2nd season of the webtoon. The webtoon is still on going. Season 3 is coming soon I think, but it will be set into the future. I was very optimistic when Change said they will be changing things from the webtoon, and I hope the ending of season 2 is one of the things they change.
This show is so good..i dont understand why people are not watching it
Most of the people who boycotted the series are from 2 groups of people. The first group are fans of the original webtoon(mostly Thai fans). Because they felt that the author was disrespected because the company didn't follow the original story 1 to 1, since the production toned down the politics. And apparently the author only knew that Webtoon sold the rights to change when the promo came out a year ago. They also don't line that Ping was casted as Kosol since he's to them he's isn't tan enough, big enough, and Thai enough. They also didn't like that King Chaiyachet was aged up to 18, since the character was only 12-13 years old on the webtoon. Since then the webtoon fans has basically been talking sht about the production and bullying the actors(specially Ping) online.
They also fights with other Thai commenters who happen to show interested in watching(just look at the comment section of the Documentary that change made for the series), they also call international fans and people who react positively to the series; fake and stupid. I have been in the receiving end of one of those comments multiple times before. I mean, I get why they were mad, but they make sure to go above and beyond to make sure they extinguish any interest people have in watching the series. Not to mention they also flood the series with 1 stars in iQiyi.
Also, a lot of them deflect the blame towards company for the bullying that they subjected the actors to, whenever people call then out for it. Talking sense to them won't work. So we just don't. And a lot of international webtoon fans excuse them for it too. So yeah. That's the main reason why a lot of people don't watch.
The other group of people that don't like the series are the people who doesn't like feminine gay/non-binary/transwomen characters. And the people who find Prince to be "too much". (Note: at least half of the people in this group are unconsciously homophobic.)
Listen. The second Kosol flips Prince over and Iβm like, finally, the living room sexy time we deserveβBOOM.…
I remember seeing the cast's IG stories of the day they filmed the fire scene. P'Nut was straight up (jokingly) doing rituals to make the rain stop. π
Undoubtedly the most entertaining and enjoyable show of the year, and a historical drama at that! So much is going…
In the webtoon it was revealed that even though Kosol's mother had him first, his father, the previous king chose Chaiyachet's mom to be the queen, making her the legitimate wife. This put Kosol a rank below his brother, because Kosol was deemed illegitimate by law, since his mother was just a regular consort/concubine.
Let's just say that this series doesn't deserve that 8.7 stars in iQiyi. It deserve to be higher. It's not fair that people are flood voting it with 1 stars, because it's really good. To me this series is at least a 9.0 there.
i wonder how many of those "boycotters" are secretly tuning in for this one? π€
Oh they're hate watching alright. And they're 1 star flooding the series in iQiyi, which is weird. I was like; "I thought you hated the series, why does it live rent free in your heads?" Because they do nothing but talk about it, and comment on it on social media.
But you know what? I don't even care if you hate the series. I don't even care if you hate the acting. But you don't just get to be a self righteous dick, and accuse the series of betraying the LGBTQ+ community, while subsequently insulting an openly LGBTQ actor that you don't even know personally.
