HT did not love JX for 10 years. He had a crush on her 10 years ago. There is a difference and the show has alluded to the later, and not the former.

Personally, both JX and HT need to reflect and grow to be able to properly accommodate each other for their relationship. And with the issue they have, although I really did not agree with what JX did with her company, they needed the breakup.

But we can't agree with JX's view on love and relationships and shit on HT's own. This is the difference in both their world views and they need to come together to discuss it. Do you not even remember why HT's grandpa preferred ZD? It was because HT was not passionate about her. He was raised to be very calm and rational and being with ZD in grandpa's eyes, provided that.

I loved the novel because it was a realistic portrayal of love to someone like HT. He can't throw his business away because of his feelings. JX's world is smaller than HT's and has always been. He has to take on a wider view and consider more things than she has to.
What is funny is what he said he may not be able to do, based on her expectations is something he eventually did lol. He did not even know when he got to that point.

The supposed to get married is not the highlight of the comment, but the part where they were meant to be joined in a union and were making plans towards it. They were meant to pool money TOGETHER and buy a house. What big things she does with her money then becomes his business and vice versa.
Their relationship was very brief on screen. How do you know they did not share their problems? From the conversations they had, they very clearly did. I remember her telling him everything that wen ton with her job and the celebration dinner. And him encouraging her and telling her to rest and that it would be okay. Don't you remember when she told TXM she was resting because YC told her to rest and not think of anything? And from the conversation with his mother, him asking her for money and the subsequent conversation with her about it, she knows all about his family and their struggles.
You can say he did not express all his concerns in the relationship early and that is a problem. Even the timing of the breakup, when he knew she was going for a conference was crappy. Someone pointed out that he was trying to end things before she proposed, after seeing her plans on her laptop.
They both had their faults, but it is what it is. In their next relationships, which they are in now, they will be better.

He did not know she was in the hospital. JX collapsed at work and they never told him about it. WQZ offered before he could ask colleagues. It was just after the call with his mother.
And he admired her when she was cleaning his apartment, after he had broken up with JX. They are supposed to show him starting to catch feelings or look at her in a different light to make sense to viewers, especially since we saw their prior interactions.

More importantly, the girl now has an attachment to her. The show wouldn't have done that if they were not going to pair them in the end. I would be surprised if they don't.

He was actually in love with her. And he did not nearly ruin her life. At a point in their relationship, earlier, when he went on a trip to I think Germany, he already planned on giving her a way out. It was referred to in the ending episodes, in his conversation with his friend and colleague, but it was just mentioned and not highlighted. Their company could have been bought by a bigger company, but it did not mean the entirety of their staff would be replaced. The other company would have replaced the older staff, and it depends on the conclusion they came to.

We cannot blame him for being an arrogant know it all. He worked hard and was excellent at what he did. He also had that mindset because of his traumatic experience with what happened to his father and uncle, and from working. He believed the best way was for small companies to come under the umbrella of big companies. In a business outlook, it made perfect sense. They could take easy advantage of all the connections and resources and do so much better. He had to learn that the desire to stand alone and progress more slowly is still valid and impactful.
Also, the fl was very arrogant as well. She did not cherish material things and did not care if she hurt the feelings or reputations of others to get what she wanted, which logically to her, would also benefit the other person. The only reason she changed was because she went through a lot. She lost her parent, was betrayed of her fortune, and was betrayed by so called allies. Her pride was what held her up.

It is the money part I disagree with because he clearly loved and wanted to stay with JX and she is not rich. And he was willing to invest his savings into her business when he thought she would fail. So both she and he would have been back to ground zero for a foolish venture. That is not what someone who is interested in the money his woman makes would do. Him having family problems and needing financial assistance, which he paid back, is not an indication he wants a wife with money. He was genuine, but dating WQZ is quite bad. I really wish they followed the novel in this case. WQZ was not a friend of JX in the novel, but was Lili's friend.

In rising with the wind, his actions were really not driven by his feelings. I can agree with that a little here, but not with RWTW. She went through a lot to prove to him that she was worth the investment. And he took controlling shares because he had dubious plans from the start. He wanted to sell the company once she revived the brand, after she showed him that it had the potential to rise again. And the man almost went through with it too. This was something he tried to do to his mother with his father's company.
He only changed his mind because followed closely her journey and was emotionally invested.

Out of the 3, ZD is the most understandable because he likes her and wants her. So he will not mean any harm to her or her company. As for JX and HY, he is very ready to betray them once he gets what he wants. And with the way he approaches the collaboration with HY and JX, I would not collaborate with him even if I wanted to spite the other person because I stand to lose a lot.

I did not mean that he is emotionally involved with the 3 of them, but that he is using their weak points to get what he wants from them. And yes, JX is the third woman.

We have been wondering who Lili is going to end up with, and I think ep 28 answers that question for us.

Chang He is working hard, playing with 3 women for his own benefit. And the 3 of them are soo emotional that they can't see the signs. For their hardwork, I'm happy for his and ZD's futures lol.

Yichen is a good person and so seeing people say he wanted a housewife with money, or he is a weak man or he dumped someone that saw him through med school bugs me so much.

In the relationship with JX, he always gave in to her and pleased her. You can somehow see that with the way she is. He was not wrong to think she would fail in business because HT's involvement is the biggest thing holding her up. She is intelligent, but she is too naive and there are too many sharks. She obviously did not consider everything before she decided to start a business. She thought it would be a fairytale and that is because of her pride.
YC and JX were supposed to get married, but before then, they planned to buy an apartment and had already chosen the one they wanted. They were waiting for their bonuses to make the downpayment on the flat. She even told her mother that the flat was a bigger priority because it could be taken, but the wedding was a formality once they had the flat. But because of that happened at her job and because of her feelings, she decided to invest all her money into starting a business without consulting him. She only told him about it and did not consider his side. Worse still, she started a business with someone like SZZ. Before taking such a huge risk, you should properly evaluate who you are partnering with. The two of them were unfit at the beginning, but SZZ was much worse.
YC's questionable move is dating the bestie of his ex. But with JX, at least he was honest when he resized that they had different pursuits in life and would end up clashing too much if they got married. He wants a simple life, like an ordinary person. But JX wants to feel worthy with success.

So the current pairs are better for each other. HT is better suited to temper JX's excesses and softness and better provide her the space, encouragement and guidance to develop into who she wants to be. YC can't give her that and it's okay.

She listened to people she knew did not have good intentions and fell into their trap. It is especially stupid after EVERYTHING HT did for her and her company. He did not interfere in anything. He let her run it by herself, but she really listened to Zeng Di, a woman that she absolutely knows has a thing for HT and has tried a couple of times to sabotage her, both her business and her relationship.
She really did not think rationally. It's like when she said she thoroughly thought it through to start a company, but in reality, she did not consider many things. She mixes emotions with business too much.
I liked it when she became VP. It was obvious that was a better position for her and with all the training she had acquired over time, she did very well.

Her naivety is quite mind boggling. But at least it is a little better in the show than in the novel.

I think it is consistent with her personality. She was really really naive about the world. She grew up too sheltered. It is because of her business and HT that she has been learning to see more of the greyness and blackness of the world.

Not really. She encourages herself based on the logic of her being a good fit. In Germany, he mentioned that he already told her before that he was uninterested in a romantic relationship with her.
