I think she was the only reason he even developed the ability to love or gained even a small understanding of it over the tens of thousands of years he lived. So every time he tried to understand the meaning of love, he unknowingly found himself drawn to her. 😭 He lived his entire life making sure the FL didn’t die. :( About the ending did the SML sacrifice himself again as Fate when he destroyed the Book of Fate so all beings could have control over their own lives? 😭
