I haven't found anywhere that translates Filipino Dramas and Movies, but they speak English half the time... but…

Some scenes are acted way too comedically. It doesn't bode well for trying to lay out the story. Reminds me of…
When it comes to their acting, this (What The Duck) too was the first thing I remembered as I was watching the first episode. [I dropped that series on the 7th episode].
This BL series have a good production quality but they lack most of the other aspects (some are very important).
These are my observations according to what I've seen in the first episode of 'My Day: The Series". I mostly comment on the technical aspect of a work (but I'm really not an expert) so... yeah. here we go.
PLOT - Story and Writing - I can tell the plot is quite good and interesting but tbh, this is badly written. ACTING and DIRECTION - Acting - some of the extras are familiar to me and I know how good they are but the main actors and some of the supporting roles are not that good yet (as most of them are newbies) or maybe the direction is bad. It's quite obvious and that is why I can't avoid noticing it. - Direction - sometimes there are moments in the series where the direction is like a "Hey, just do this and that and we're good" kind of direction for me (if you know what I mean). I felt that some of the actors are not really following the script and just doing an impromptu throwing of lines. (you too might have noticed those several "fillers' and the pauses that the other actors used while doing their lines.) - OST and Musical Scoring - I didn't like the main OST (I may not want to elaborate.). I liked the main theme tho (the orchestral BGM) but sometimes it's too loud. The song used in the ending credits was the most appealing for me. but overall, the scoring was good. - Cinematography - I can tell that they did an effort on this one. - Color Grading - very good. very pleasant to my eyes. - Production Design - this too was good. I don't have a bad comment on this one. - Editing - the editing is very good. this saved the whole episode (or maybe the whole series?)
This is just the first episode. There are more to come so let's see if there will be improvements.
This is just my opinion. But I'm not using this as an excuse for you to not oppose my thoughts. you always have the freedom to comment positively or negatively to my writings. :)
I just saw the trailer and I got hyped the moment it played on my screen. I am seriously into this type of series. Now I need to calm down. I am too excited for this!
