An unpopular opinion but this is not a masterpiece for me. The first part of the drama wasn't that bad but the…
OMG I agree with every single point you've mentioned 🥺 Yes Shin Ha Kyun was awesome but Choi Dae Hoon's performance felt superior 😍 It's not an unpopular opinion at all
In India, they say, when you're going to watch movies of Rohit Shetty / Salman Khan / Rajnikant and similar slapstick action movies, do not take your brains with you. That way you will enjoy the movie better. It was clear from episode 1 that Vincenzo isn't to be taken seriously so I kept my brain and logic aside. Even though it's silly (like that godforsaken pigeon rescue where I facepalmed so hard), it still worked coz that's the kind of drama it is
Did you notice how the 3 ML's hairstyles always changed based on their mood and choices at that moment?
Hair let down loose and over the forehead represented that they were being nice and peaceful at the moment.
Hair combed and taken back all the way represented their intent to take shit down and not give a shit either!
Maybe that's why Vincenzo's hairstyle was often neatly combed back for most of the show and during certain lighter moments, it was in-between. Coz no matter how much love and light Vincenzo was surrounded by, his true nature as a dark-souled hungry cat named always remained 🚬 and he never intended to let it go 😈
I've watched a few interviews of these Japanese agencies where you hire all kinds of people - a girlfriend, a boyfriend, husband, family, daughter, mother, random uncle to talk to, random grandma to talk to and so on. It's quite interesting to learn their perspective on it.
Ohh i see. I've heard about this. It never makes sense that's for sure. It's like you close your eyes right now and every single thought and image that comes gets connected and becomes a meaningless story.
I don't mind episode 4's "drugged-consent" fling. They aren't in a happy romcom setting as regular citizens. Given the dark theme of the show and the characters having mafia-like noir influences in their environment, there's lust in plenty while love is rare. There's not gonna be a 100% consent all the time but that's how the story is supposed to be whether it's comfortable for the viewers or not. They can stop making such tropes if the public demands but artists (here the writers) don't make everything 100% based on what public demands coz they'll end up not making anything at all if they want to please every type of viewer.
Had this been a romcom, it would've been a definite NO for me. Again, if it's more of a mature romance, where the characters have lingering feelings for each other, than even those "drunken consents" are okay at one point. It's all about the context. (Also, I never wish any of this for anybody in real life......but in fiction, it kinda works.)
It's not love yet I don't think. . He's attracted and drawn to Porsche's "don't give a damn attitude" which also…
I agree with this. As of now, it's more of lust than love. Also, they aren't in a modern romcom setting neither are they "regular citizens". The setting is dark and they are influenced by Mafia-like noir environment where lust is in plenty and love is rare.
Even though the North Korean culture is superficial, it takes you away from thinking that the whole population of NK is under complete dictatorship with no free will whatsoever.
Awwww he's back 🥰 i almost have tears in my eyes. Not specifically for PBG but that feeling when they all come back home from the military is so touching 🥲

Each episode about a different dying story
