I really am suprised by how much I am loving this drama because generally I don't like dramas with unlikable characters. Except Zheng Hui and Li De I am suspicious and dislike all other characters lol. This is like that TV show called succession. I disliked all the characters there too but still loved it so much. The characters in this drama are so suspicious and unlikable but so interesting and you just want to know more and more about them. A pleasant surprise really

I really like her serious, no nonsense style of reviewing. Plus she has a lot of cultural insights along with chinese entertainment industry. Plus she clearly has some experience with the filming industry. I think she does a good job of breaking down the details and analysing the decisions made while making and producing dramas. I don't agree with all her opinions ofcourse. She didn't like Mysterious Lotus Casebook that much while I (and also most people on Douban) really loved it and gave it a really high score. Review is a strictly personal thing for me. But I do enjoy her analysis quite a lot even if I don't agree with her. Plus as someone who plans to study film later I really think some of her opinions are really valuable. The only thing that may tick people off is that she is very picky about dramas but honestly I am too so I understand where she's coming from
The episodes just keep getting better and better and I am getting more and more creeped out with every episode lol. Tomorrow hopefully I'll catch up fully with this drama so I'll have fun waiting for daily episodes (I'll suffer) Also wtf was that on the end of ep 9, did Zheng Hui actually see her or was that a hallucination?
This is really good omggg!!! Like I was not expecting myself to like this so much heh. The cinematography is just pure art, like the colours and the symbols of the 棕眼 (blemish flaws)? Like when they look through the pin holes, it's just soo cool. I really have become a fan of this director, especially since he also directed my favorite drama last year 'The Heroes' really can't wait to see more of his works. As for the actors, everyone is doing a very good job but that's expected ofcourse, especially Wang Duo, man he gives me the creeps! And I am really liking the small bts clips at the end. I've always liked watching bts of every film so this is just a small treat for me
