putting the slow in "slow burn"
It is a really cute and genuine story of teenage love. They really took the time to develop the characters and their relationships, which I definitely think was needed. There was a point in the story where I couldn't see how they were gonna make romance work and I was scared they would just force it, like so many other shows do, but they took their time to slowly develop the story to a point where it no longer felt forced but instead completely natural.
The acters are amazing! You always know what the character is feeling through the subtle micro expressions. The acting felt so natural: like ofcourse that is how the character would react in that situation. The way they hide their smile in a natural and subtle way and how you can really feel the love and longing in their gaze just made everything feel so genuine.
I can definitely recommend people watch this show. But if you hate slow burns and want the characters to get together as soon as possible, then this show might not be for you, but for everyone else: you need to watch this masterpiece! (Thank me later)

Cute story... nothing more
The story is cute and simple, perhaps a little too simple.I feel like there were so many elements of the story that they could have done SOMETHING with to make the story less bland.
The story that was actually there was pretty good, there just wasn't a lot; there wasn't even enough content to fill 4 whole episodes so they had do fill the latter half of ep 4 with things like a behind the scenes, an epilogue, and a music preference. Which could have been alright if it was in the correct order. A behind the scenes should be last thing and not right in the middle destroying the flow and making people leave because they think it is over.
Even though I have complains about the show, it's because I care. It had so much potential, if just it had a bigger budget and some writers who knows how to give a story some substance.
Overall
Did I enjoy watching it? Yes
Would I ever watch it again? No
Should you watch it? Sure, if you are looking for a cute turn-your-brain-off kind of story, but if you want a story that gets you on the edge of your seat, then you should probably go look somewhere else.

Definitely worth watching
I have seen so many shows with a unique premise that just abaddon it within the first couple of episodes, but not this show. They actually use the premise throughout the show, sure sometimes there is less focus on it, but it's never ignored and always has some relevance to what's going on.
Caged again is about two zoo animals (a penguin and a panther) who both end up becoming humans. They both have different views on what it means to be human and free. Since Son (the panther) has been human longer, he has seen a lot more of the bad things humans can do, and therefore tries to protect Junior (the penguin) from getting his bubble burst and seeing how bad some people can be.
This leads Son to hide things from Junior that he definitely should have told him, both for the sake of honesty but also for the sake of safety. Even though he did it with good intentions, it is not okay to hide the fact that they are in danger from someone, but no-one can be perfect, especially when they are new to the whole friends thing.
Son and Junior's cemetery is so good.
The acters did an amazing job portraying their emotions and feelings for each other. The way they look at each other with so much love in their eyes and how they protect and care for each other feels so genuine.
Jodd and Jeng were so sweet.
You can see how comfortable they feel around each other. Just being around the other made them feel at ease, without needing to say a whole lot.
I wish we could have seen more of an actual relationship between them, and not just "friendship". I don't get why they didn't make them an actual couple earlier when they so clearly were ready for it.
Ton and Nat are iconic.
Like what do you mean they have a happy relationship with mutual understanding and respect for each other? What do you mean they don't play into any stereotypical gender roles? What do you mean they wear animal costumes and roleplay in the forest?
It's just iconic behaviour.
I was kinda annoyed that the outro is just white text on a black background, because the song is a banger, and it's annoying not having anything interesting to look at while listening to the outro.
If you are looking a show with happy and healthy relationships between both teenagers and adults with no toxic gender norms or stupid misunderstandings, then you have come to the right place.

Adorable
They have such a cute dynamic where they love and respect each other.Even though they are very different, they always make room for eachs differences and needs.
The support couples felt more like filler than an actual story line. They still had a cute relationship, but I would've liked it to have been built out a bit more.
It isn't extraordinary or anything, just your run-of-the-mill thai bl, but a good one at that.
If you are looking for some cozy cute romance this is the perfect show for you.

This show got some sound problems
The sound design is pretty bad. The sound is quiet one moment then loud the next. I recommend having an easy way to adjust the sound whilst watching. The background sound is sometimes too loud and there is a gritty sound at times, the actors also sometimes hit the microphones.I know I make it sound bad but it is still very much watchable, it's just something to be aware of if that kind of thing bugs you.
In the beginning it's kinda giving fanfiction vibe, but it lessens as the show goes on.
I enjoy the dynamic between Ana and Fuse. They are both unsure about beginning in an relationship for deferent reasons, but so sure about each other, it's very heartwarming.
The acting was very varied, sometimes it was really good and sometimes it really wasn't. Overall I think the acting was alright, and I think the actors can get really good with some more training.

I don't think the show ever has a point where it gets boring, but there are some writing decisions I don't agree with.
It felt like they had a secondary couple just for the sake of having a secondary couple. As soon as the secondary couple got together the writers just ditched them, which I think is a shame.
The way the portrayed being an outcasts with a brain that works a bit differently and how you should treat a person like that, I felt could use a bit more nuance. I wouldn't say it was portrayed in a bad way, but it wasn't in a good way either. It felt like they infantilized the character, which just didn't sit right with me.
Overall I think "The Rebound" is good and I would recommend other people watch it.

Almost perfect
As an autistic person myself, I am a bit disappointed in the representation. It definitely could be worse but it also could be a lot better.Chatjen always made the same stim (fidgeting with his hands) no matter the situation, which really threw me off, because that stim is a common a nervous/anxious stim but he does it even when he is happy/excited. It's might be a common stim that a lot of autistic people (including myself) do, but stiming has nuance. Just because it is common doesn't mean it applies to every situation. They could even have gone with the classic (and kinda stereotypical) hand flapping stim whenever he is expected, just to show some of the nuance an autistic character deserves.
He was also infantilized at times, which is sadly not an uncommon thing for autistic characters and people to be, but I really wish that they would've just left that part out, as it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
It is very clear to see that they did not cast an autistic actor in the role, which they really should have. I can't imagine that it is difficult for a big company like GMM to find a good autistic actor if they actually tried.
Except the miss representation of autism, all of the acting was phenomenal. All of the acters were really good at micro expressions and portraying the depth of emotions.
Acting as someone who is trying to suppress emotions is so difficult, you both need to show what the character wants others to think they are feeling and what the character is actually feeling and you need to hit that sweet spot to really get the feeling across. And the actors nailed it. I am genuinely impressed by their talent and I wish all of them the best of luck with their acting careers in the future.
I know a lot of people wished it was a bl, but I actually don't.
Don't get me wrong I still ship them, but I think that if they had added a romance arc it would have waterd down the friendship arc, which I feel like would be a shame to do to such a beautiful arc. If they ever do a second season or a spinoff I definitely would want to see them as a couple, but I think this story is amazing as it is.
When I hear "frenemy" I think of an dynamic where two characters are enemies but also kind of fond of each other, and not two characters where one person wants to be best friends and the other wants to be enemies. It is an interesting and fun spin on the term "frenemy" and it leads to some very chaotic, comical, heart wrenching and heart warming moments.
I would definitely recommend people watch this show, but remember that representation isn't alway accurate.
