I base my silly little rule on the fact that there was something that drove me to watch the first half. It had certain qualities or showed enough potential to persuade me to carry on to the halfway point (my point of no return). So basically, when I hit that point, I give it the benefit of the doubt until the end. It worked well a number of times, with dramas finishing strong after a slow start. In this case, it was painful, very, very painful.

I can relate. I have a rule that if I reach the halfway point of a show, I finish the show. I just finished TBL; let's just say the experience was so painful, I'm reconsidering the rule.
Sigh 😔 my girl can't see to catch a break with all hater trynna drag her down within the successful of DA .…
She's too talented to bring down with cheap smears. It's just an unfortunate part of the C-Ent industry. Competition brings out the best and worst in people. Tbf, it happens all over the world. People get so tribal around their favourites in any arena. Sometimes even to the point of putting a rival down. Healthy competition is good and only strengthens the industry. I have my favourites, but never wish for anyone to fail. Even if they are a direct rival to my favourite star.
Chinese entertainment industry when they decide doing shooting less than 20eps dramas they provide some of the…

All done. Wonderful series. 40 eps, and they packed every one of them with intrigue, adventure, and memorable moments. Xianxia isn't my favourite genre because it often lacks the element of realism that I need to really get hooked. But I absolutely loved this one. MM is a beautiful tapestry of interwoven fates.
It would be sad to see this become a lost drama. It is one of ZJM's best performances. If it does happen, she'll…
Yes. I see how this insensitivity has caused harm. The writers should've researched various crimes and created a fictitious crime story that doesn't open old wounds. A story based in fiction would allow them to explore difficult themes without the risk of causing harm to others. Exploring the humanity of criminals (basically human complexity) is not necessarily a bad thing. But creating false narratives around real people (good or bad) is misleading and problematic.
It is a shame this show has become embroiled in scandal, as the quality of the production and acting cannot be denied. It really is world-class.
It better not be true. Being in a romance drama while she is underage and he is in his 30s is so stupid . If they…
I mostly agree. I just don't take a hard-line position that should the rumours become reality, nothing good can come from it. They have room to make something interesting that's not vulgar and inappropriate. There's definitely a push happening behind Ai Mi, and it's not hard to see why. She has nuance and depth in her acting beyond her years.
I guess my position is that should this come to fruition, I'll bite my tongue and reserve judgement until the final product is out.

I never want to see her upcoming plays list look like…

I am actually hoping that my favourite male actor adds some different modern genres and movies into his itinerary.
