He has been given the role of the annoying SML, and I don't like these kinds of dramas so I don't watch them.
And in what setting would I ever interact with someone like this?? he is a very toxic person, I cut these people out of my life instantly. Life is way too short to be wasted on these kinds of people.

Yesssssss!!! I don't know what it is about him that I dislike but I've never liked any of his characters either and hated them with a passion. I just don't get why should a character that nobody likes get so much screen time??

Well I've already dropped it but it's just sad cuz I like yoo in na and hyun min. but I just can't stand the annoying SML. and he is getting way too much screen time if the preview is any indication and that's an immediate drop for me.

You do realize there can be more than 1 male lead in a drama?

I do not like Noh Ju Hwan, he is such a garbage character and since he is a main role, he is gonna be the reason I'm gonna drop this one.
I really dislike Dramas that have EX-whatever stick around after the break up, like what even is the point of it? is it just to pad the run-time? or to cause issue for the new couple? cuz that's how it feels.

well there is Novel updates.com but thats just for Novels. Although there is no need to really check if the dramas are loyal or not because they're not, or at least I have yet to see one that was.

Apparently in the Novel there wasn't any Romance and the drama added it unnecessarily, I attribute this dramas failure to this change.

I agree 100%, look at Reborn Rich, an excellent cast and a good story at least until episode 12 or so and with the most horrible ending ever.
for me no matter how good the cast or the story was doesn't matter because the ending ruined everything that came before it.

I did too, the first half is excellent TV, but I consider a Drama a failure when it fails to have a proper ending that can close at least most of the important loose-ends without resorting to cliche tropes and deus ex-machina.

Finally finished it today, Started watching when it aired but only managed to finish it now.
It's not the kind of show that grips you and doesn't let go till the end but it's entertaining, I think it shouldn't be binged and should be consumed in small doses.
also the individual cases and stories were a lot better than the main plot, I wasn't at all interested in the old man or who the killer was.

Yep. for sure. without a season 2 to explain the numerous plot points that were never addressed, the drama can be considered as a failure and undeserving of the high rating it has.

100% agree, the title is a complete lie and false advertising, this doesn't even qualify as Fantasy and yet it's still one of it's genres. This entire Drama is a solid example of how to ruin a Drama 101.

I didn't really want romance in this, but If it had to have one I wanted it to be between Do Joon and Mo Hyun Min, she would have made sense considering that he needed power and money to succeed and she would have been a valuable asset in his future empire. also I thought their back and forth and eventual hate to love relationship would be fire.

The reason people(including me) hated the ending is because the ending ruins everything that happened before it, it makes everything that we as the audience saw and felt meaningless. and it also fails to even be the non-fantasy garbage that the writer wanted because the way everything was resolved was full of deus ex machina and made zero sense.
