" kinda x2 or skip them"
That's what I'm already doing, I just wish they didn't have so much screen time.

I really want to like this, and I love everything in this drama except for the school kids parts, it's so annoying and dumb, like I can't understand why that girl Soo ah is working so hard to take Hae yi down? it just doesn't make sense to me, or why can't Hae yi go back to the program now that the smoker kid is dead??
this would have been so much better if the kids part of the script was cut by 79%.

also man they make it look so easy to earn money !!!like you breath air and it keeps on coming
To be honest it is easier to make money when you have a lot of it, which he did by selling his land, If he was making money out of nothing then I would agree.
Still a shitty ending but these parts were good.

I haven't read the webtoon but the drama deviates from the novel a lot and has completely different ending and…
Episodes 1-14 although I had some issues with some scenes, are fantastic TV and super entertaining.
But the last two episodes ruin all the previous episodes, the MC after being shot in the head and falling down a cliff somehow wakes up from coma(how did he not die?) in under a week(I think I don't really remember how long he was in the coma but I know it was super short), so everything that happened with the hole "reborn" thing all the stuff he changed in the past are meaningless and useless which means the audience has wasted their time watching those episodes, on top of that several huge plot-holes are never addressed, the court scene is shallow and deus ex Machinaed to hell. the screen-writer killed the whole fantasy part of the novel and tried to make the "reborn" thing philosophical.

PS: I really don't think Fantasy should be one of the genres here.
PSS: the only reason this has a high rating is thanks to the 1-14 episodes and the amazing dynamic between Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki, without them this wouldn't even be a 8/10

I am reading its webtoon currently and am in love with the way it's going. if someone here has read the webtoon…
I haven't read the webtoon but the drama deviates from the novel a lot and has completely different ending and some other major stuff that frankly ruin the cohesiveness of the story and turns into a plot-hole infested swamp.

It's been more than a month since the finale aired and I still can't get the horrible taste of that garbage ending out of my mouth.

It was a 7.5 for me until the ending.... After the ending, it's an 8 :) It's self-explanatory that the past can't…
"t's self-explanatory that the past can't be changed if it had already happened"

then there shouldn't be a fantasy genre among the genres and the whole "Reborn" title of the drama makes zero sense and is false advertising.

So far I loved both episodes, they were funny and really entertaining which is all I look for in Dramas. also on a side note; how cute is Kwak Sun Young with those giant glasses??

100% agree, Time-travel is tricky to work into the plot no matter what budget you're working on or how fantastic of a writer you are.
But something fantastic that I've seen lately in some Korean Novels and Manhwas when they make use of the subject of Time-Travel or reincarnation is that they rather focus on the story, the character developments and developing the plot and either they don't mention the Time-travel or reincarnation at all or they simply pass it by with a simple statement and move on to the actual story that matters.

the author of the novel here did this as well which if the reception of the novel is any indication it was received well by the audience, but the production team and by extension the screen-writer here tried to explain away the time-travel and not only did they spend too much time on it, time that the plot and characters needed, they in the end failed to explain it and wasted too much time and had to resort to deus ex machinas and plot holes to finish a rushed ending.

Is it trash ending because they give the villain the redemption arc?
to be honest I don't know what his problem is but don't let it bother you.

I agree with your assessment of the ending too, it changed too suddenly for it to make sense, it seemed like the story didn't have a clear plan and outline from the beginning as if they had written the first episode without any thought about the ending because if this was planned then they wouldn't have had YHW get shot in the head and recover.

All of the plot-holes could have been fixed if this sort of ending was planned properly from the beginning but it seemed abrupt and without much thinking.

Then how can they both exist in the same lifetime??
Don't think too much on it, the writer tried to change some core elements of the story from the Novel without making sure it makes sense or can fit in the already existing story, and by doing that made a mess full of plot-holes and unanswered questions, and it wasn't just the ending that had issues, people including me had questions about a bunch of stuff like both JDJ and YHW being alive at the same time and having the same face but we taught that in the ending we'll get some answers, that's why there was so much pressure on the finale to be good, but the writer failed and couldn't explain her changes to the story and had to use deus ex machinas which is a testament to bad writing.

read the Manhwa, it's finished in English and it has a much better narrative and is much more engaging than this…
I wish for a season 2 as well, I loved the drama and would love to see these characters again but it is highly unlikely that'll happen and until it does this dramas story is unfinished.

Nice to see there are still people out there that can tell when a writer fumbles an ending.
the ending in RR just makes everything meaningless, it's so bad, it's like as if we've seen all of the Harry Potter movies and in the last one Harry wakes up from a decades long coma and finds out that everything was in his head that everything we've seen was pointless.
Or to watch all seasons of the walking dead and in the last episode of the last season the sheriff wakes up from the coma to see that there are no zombies and everything was in his head.
It's the cheapest ending possible.

I know all that, but the production team made the wrong choice.

Kdramas rarely get a second season and since this one didn't have a plan for one they should have stuck to a single season story like the Manhwas instead of leaving the audience confused with only one season of the Novel.

This show really aged well. It's one of the best romance dramas to rewatch this time of the year.
is it happy ending for the two main leads??
I'm in a depressed place right now so it's not really good for me to watch sad or depressing or tragedy stuff, is this happy?
