The iconic Yandare side of Tantai Jin. I know due to censorship that we don't see much his emotionally unstable of his character on screen but LYX portrayal of this was phenomenal, seeing how truly he was obsessed he was with XiWu/Susu being the only light in his life especially with him stroking her her and smelling it like a creepy stalker. This was a risky stunt to pull in a c-drama. Tantai Jin was at least there to comfort the Ye clan especially grandma Ye before she died. I did like that in the end, SuSu came back to him symbolizing that only she can stop his rampage and outburst just like in the OG.
I rather have BC working with TTML similar to the OG than this sorry excuse of a clumsy writing. She would had her grandma kidnapped with Fuyu during her mother's memorial where her family seen her true face, Susu secretly ran after them to save her without telling everyone. She would so burned Tantai MingLang with her spunk rebellious words that would turn his face all red with fury then confronted her sister for her betrayal. She failed to save her grandma who was in the boat cabinet, streaming away to river. Tantai Jin rescued her but the old lady Ye was in coma and he sent her to the medical room. That would have been make more sense

I just saw the new chapter of the manhua and the jade gift was a gentle moment for Tantai Jin as XiWu put it in his hand instead of tying to his waist like the 2 other adaptations. Glad to see her humiliating the Prince Zhou face like that.
It is also a sad reminder to any of us who read the book that TTJ never cherished it until her death that he wore it during the immortal act as one of her last mementos she gave to him.
